“Beautiful hotel”

If you visit Krakow, stay here. The hotel is recently refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The breakfast is varied and delicious. Thoroughly recommended it, and Krakow as a place to visit!

Just returned from a weekend in Krakow with friends and stayed at the Metropolitan. We can't rate this hotel highly enough, the standard of the hotel and rooms is excellent, the staff are lovely with nothing too much trouble and it was in a great location, just a 10 minute walk from the centre of the city, with plenty of bars and restaurants near nearby. The breakfast was excellent with a fantastic choice and we must say thank you to Bart and Jarek in the bar, for offering us tasters of the different vodkas. We had a fantastic trip and would highly recommend the Metropolitan.

What a superb hotel, it's only just opened a few months ago but I would highly recommend it.
My room was spacious , bed was king size and comfortable , the bathroom was ideal with lots of space .
The breakfast is buffet type and there is a great selection both continental and enough choice for the British taste with bacon eggs sausages and some days even beans were provided, enough to keep all types happy. You can go back and get as much as you like which sets you up until evening meal.
The hotel is ideal placed for all the attractions in this wonderful city , not too far from the city square and all local amenities.
I came for 5 days from 8th to 12th January 2014 to visit the Second World War historic sights and I now wish I had stayed longer as my stay here was so perfect.

Room Tip: I asked for a superior room and was more than delighted

We're currently staying at this hotel, and we chose it because of the rave revues here on Tripadvisor. We were not dissappointed! We entered our spacious, tastefully decorated room and were subsequently gobsmacked... I used to work as a hotel room maid, and am always very conscious of hotel room cleanliness - our room was absolutely spotless. We came back from our outings in the afternoon to a re-made bed and freshly vacuumed and touched-up room. The mini-bar is very reasonably priced with plenty drinks to choose from and a chocolate bar as well as a bag of non-greasy peanuts. Bottled water was free of charge. There is a nice little grocery store just across the street from the hotel, where you can get the stuff you need - painkillers, cigarettes, bottled water, fruit and everything you might need very cheaply. The bar and restaurant at the Metropolitan are wonderful, the staff are incredibly nice and remember how you like your coffee. As for the breakfast it is faultless - you have bread, rolls, croissants, cereals, yoghurt, spreads, cheeses, greenery and cold cuts galore. All in all my boyfriend and I have had the time of our lives here at the Metropolitan! There are also several good restaurants in the vicinity - make sure to take the ten minute walk down to Manzana, a mexican restaurant that all but blew our heads off!

Oh dear. So many excellent reviews and all true. Such a wonderful hotel and such value for money. Now everyone will want to go and the price might go up!!

Best value for money I've ever had. Our room and en suite were so spacious and the staff were delightfully helpful. The restaurant had just opened and offered a varied and interesting menu. The quality was excellent.
It is a little way from town centre but well worth the short distance and on the edge of the Jewish quarter.
Krakow is a beautiful city with very friendly people. And the amber jewellery Is stunning. And affordable.

The reviews so far sum up very nicely what this hotel is all about. Location - yes its a good walk from the Old Town square but even in the middle of winter its only a ten to fifteen minute walk and easily doable. Check in was efficient and friendly with Beata who gave a good overview of the services of the hotel as well as a map and guide to the area.

Restaurant service was great as was their food - very reasonably priced and they offer a 15% discount for hotel residents. A particular advantage of the hotel restaurant was their traditional Polish cuisine - very tasty and exceptionally well presented. Waitering service in the restaurant, even on a busy Christmas eve, was great. Friendly and efficient with a touch of humour!

I particularly enjoyed the breakfasts - even though it was quite busy there was everything from cereals and yoghurts, to fresh fruits, green salads and olives, a cheese platter, scrambled eggs and hot food and a range of juices with of course tea and coffee. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast were excellent - most friendly, accommodating and efficient.

The hotel has a small gym and of the four hotels I visited in Poland I enjoyed this one the most! Although it is small, it is modern and spotlessly clean. You can provide your choice of music on the sound system and there are some Technogym machines which can provide you with a reasonable workout. There are numerous free weights and an elliptical stepping machine, a treadmil and a stationary bike. Fresh gym towels and cold water dispenser are available and the lighting and finish of the room are really very nice.

Overall a very nice stay in this hotel and highly recommended!

Came to krakow for 4 nights/ 5 days. Excellent hotel. Very very clean. Staff well mannered and polite. Great service given. Fantastic breakfast. Only a 10 minute walk from Krakow old town square. We felt very safe walking to and from the hotel to all attractions. This hotel cannot be faulted
