Owner description: To any Chopin aficionado, concerts of the piano master's musical works present themselves as a real treat. Pieces from the oeuvre of the legendary composer, renowned both in Poland and worldwide, are performed regularly all year round. The concerts highlight Chopin's most popular piano works, as performed by such notable pianists as, among others. 14 Slawkowska Street An old historical tenement house called "Dębinskim" or "Under Barrel".The house was built in the 15th century as an one-storeyed building and it was restructured thoroughly in the middle of the 16th century. After that the house became the property of a Royal Hunter named Kaspar Dębinski who worked for the Royal Family in the Wawel Castle. He ordered to add the second floor and then the house's facade was decorated with paintings presenting different kinds of weapons. At present you can see extraordinary the 19th century staircase with its original richly ornameted railing made of iron leading to the concert hall The concert hall is dedicated to F.Chopin was as one of the greatest composers of all time.

Although our venue was changed last minute from the palace, we were relocated to an equally lovely place. The pianist of the evening was exquisite and it was a wonderful hour of escapism from the hustle and bustle down below. Highly recommended!

We were advised to phone Andrew (the organiser) directly on 604093570. Not sure if this was financially better or worse than other means, but he certianly looks after those who book by this method. We had seats on the front row and were well positioned to watch the pianist hands as he played - a must if you want to understand how difficult to play are many of the Chopin pieces. The room is a lovely old 13-14th century restored room, with a fantastic painted mural around its upper walls and a magnificent wooden ceiling. The pianist was very good, and was introduced as a member of the University's music department. My wife is the talented musician and she appreciated the concert from start to finish, there were a few minor errors but this does not detract from how difficult it is to play his music as several of the pieces were very complex. All in all a lovely hour spent in beautiful surroundings. .

We went to Chopin piano concerts at different locations two nights in a row, and fell completely in love. Just ask in one of the tourist booths. For a very reasonable price you will get a completely magical concert experience by a world class pianst in a beautiful setting. Strongly recommended, even if you aren't really into classical music. You will not regret it!

I love piano music, especially composers like Chopin. It was a delight to spend an evening to hear excellently played Chopin music in a beautiful environment, right on the main square in Krakow. Well worth the small ticket price.

... in a historic environment by young pianists. The one-hour recital is dedicated primarily to Chopin's piano music and is performed, on a rotating basis, by four upcoming young people. We heard Krakow-born Dobrochna Krówka playing some of Chopin's well-known and daunting piano pieces, such as the well-known Polonez op. 53 and the Scherzo op. 20, and she was fabulous! A very special event, well worth its Pln. 55.

Even on the Saturday evening in the middle of the tourist season, there was no problem in purchasing tickets at the door of the Bonerowksi Palace until a quarter before the start. The timing itself -- 7 till 8PM -- is perhaps not ideal but there are plenty of restaurants nearby for an early or a late dinner.
