We strolled around these gardens on a sleepy Sunday morning in October, the weather cool rather than cold, and dry, and were bowled over by the range and quality of trees, plants, tropical exotica in the heated plant-houses, and the sense of space and calm. Whoever the team are that have collected and maintained this collection, they really know their stuff; puts some other Botanic Gardens we've visited to shame. There's no cafe, just a couple of drinks- and snacks-dispensers, but maybe that's a good thing: people come to admire the plants exclusively. And there's no shortage of cafes etc nearby in Krakow is there?! A little off the tourist beaten track, and all the better for it. Shame about the noise from a busy road on the eastern flank, but you can't have everything. From the Garden you can in 10 minutes take a side route through hospital grounds and across a couple of roads to reach the Kazimierz district.

These gardens were a lovely surprise. I only had limited time so didn't get to see everything. I loved the glasshouses. One had lots of palm trees in them. There were beautiful ponds with lily pads in both glasshouses. The orchid house still had plenty of plants in bloom. It was a lovely sunny afternoon but still the gardens weren't too busy. They are not well sign posted but well worth visiting. Easy to reach by tram.

We went to the botanical gardens today for some time out of the town centre and it was beautiful. The gardens and fountains are lovely and it’s very peaceful. We spent a few hours walking around, if you know your horticulture it probably would be even better and you could appreciate more of the plants etc. Good range of tropical and native plants, green houses and open areas. A lovely afternoon at just 9 Zloty per adult. There isn’t much inside so in bad weather it might not be as fun.

Best place to quietly spend time in Krakow with esthetics of different plants spices. Good for painters, children, seniors.

We visited last Friday. It was very cheap to get in and we spent an hour and half there. Sadly the green houses were not open on a Friday but we still enjoyed looking around. It's 10 zloty each or 5zloty for seniors. Somehow I was charged as a senior and I'm only 54 lol

If your in the need of getting away from lots of people and just to take a breather, you should come here. Lots of beautiful flowers and trees, lots of beautiful smells and just a lot of room to you! We were lucky enough to see a flower who only blossom through the day once a year, a staff member showed us. We ended up purchasing 3 plants for our garden for a very cheap price. Now we are just hoping they will survive the long trip.

A nice and peaceful place for a walk - some interesting flora. The greenhouses have some exotic plants that you must see. Just 9 Zt and 5 for students.

If you are looking for a quiet retreat from the crowds, this is for you. You can spend an hour or more strolling through wonderfully presented and tended gardens, treescapes, and water features without repeating your steps. And it's only a 10 minute walk from the Galleria.

* Extremely price-friendly. Students enter on 5 PLN.

* About 10-15 minutes walk outside of the old city

* Park is nice, has a wide variety of botanicals and is generally a nice park with many benches to sit on

* Large greenhouses - two of them very tall with enormous tropical trees inside one of them (the other is closed at the moment, Apr. 2018)

* Some of the paths are being renovated - please spend some of those EU funds on a sound-wall against the horrible traffic noise coming from the road on the east side of the compound.
