“Nicest Sheraton I've Been In”
Reviewed September 2, 2007

The Sheraton Krakow is excellent. The room I got was huge and the price was really affordable. The staff was excellent, the concierge knowledgeable and everyone was friendly. The hotel was spotless and apparently brand new. The Qube bar in the lobby was great, huge selection of vodka and a good bartender and staff.

The sports bar attached to the hotel was OK, the food was way over-priced for Krakow, but it's a great place to watch sports.

stayed here for six nights with my three kids aged 17,15 and 10. it is one of the best hotels we have ever been to. the staff were friendly and helpful, hotel facilities were good, clean and with something for everyone. rooms were nice and spacious and the breakfast was an excelent buffet. the highlight for us was the sunday 'all you can eat buffet' lunch. the location just near the castle meant a pleasant walk to the old town for sightseeing.

The Sheraton in Krakow is nicely and centrally located close to everything we needed to visit. There was virtually nothing wrong with our three days except the price was a bit overblown. The restaurant is good but again too expensive. The staff all spoke various languages and all spoke english. If you have the bucks - stay here.

Had a fabulous holiday in Krakow, staying in superb luxury at this hotel. Rooms and facilities wonderful. Staff terrific. All multilingual, and nothing too much trouble. Good parking facilities and very comfortable rooms. Well placed- 5 minute walk to city centre and Wawel. Lovely liesurely breakfasts. Great atmosphere. Lots of help available with booking trips. You cannot do better than this hotel. The Poles are great people , though the security staff did all look like the Russian mafia!

started off journey quite poor flying with british airways, not a good flight at all, i booked with them thinking they would be better than the other so called cheap airlines, but they were by no means any better!!! breakfast was a terrible rubbery roll with a greasy piece of bacon in it then covered in tomato sauce, bad luck for those people who dont like tom sauce, inc me!!
not any better for lunch on way back. flight was full of rowdy men on way to stag weekend, they were rude loud and obnoxious and far worse on return home, swearing terribly and screaming at a young baby to shut up as it cried during take off, worse part about it was that the crew done nothing to help the poor mum of baby or have word with them to calm down.!! appalling behaviour for grown men between the ages of approx 25 and 65 yrs old!!!!
as for poland, going to krakow was a wonderful experience in every way, the sheraton we satyed in was unbelievable, we upgraded to a deluxe room for not much more and it was so worth it with views over the river with wawal castle to our left, floor to ceiling windows!!! the staff cannot do enough for you. they are without a doubt 1st class!! the massage i had was an experience, beware ! ; they massage your bottom and boobs!! i was shocked as had no warning re the bum but declined the boobs! but fantastic massage, great spa area. the al a carte restaurant wow!! fab place . will be going back.
visited aushwitz and birkenau, very sad but almost beautiful places. you have to experience it to appreciate it, we have visited many ww2 places but nothing prepared us for this, so upsetting though to witness dis -respectful people smoking and putting cigs out on plaques and eating and talking loudly over the guides, even though the guide asked for quite no smoking no eating and respect for the people who died there!!
if you go you need to do the guided tour to understand many things and know what you are seeing, but if you can, go back and walk round at your leisure, we wish we had its so rushed you go from one bit to another so quickly you miss so much and cant always absorb it all. also pay the little extra and get your own taxi there instead of coach tour, we did on someone elses advice and it was far far better.

this hotel is by far the best five star hotel we have stayed in, the staff where so helpful everything from handing us a umberella as we where going out the door to organising a tour of autwitz, the sports bar has so many big screens and shows 4-6 different sports, the food here was excellent, something else to choose from instead of usaul hotel food, the bed was the most comfortable i have ever experinced and it was always a strugglr to get up for the tremendous breakfast. i could say so much more but in short if going to krakow and want a good hotel for location(its beside the castle on the river), service, quality its a must!

The driver met us at the airport at 06.15 am, a hurried cigarette & we were whisked away in the hotel mercedes (A snip at 80 zlotys...around 20euro). We were due to arrive in Krakow at 02.00 but that's another story. The lobby was buzzing as the waiting staff were preparing for breakfast. Check-in was flawless and professional and our bags were dispatched to our room. The room we had booked was the cheapest on offer so our expectations were'nt to high, it was finely decorated and the highlight was the well advertised bed (sleep easy or something). The highlight was the breakfast, all you want in a buffet, hot or cold, healthy or unhealthy was presented and no problem preparing an omelette made to order, bottles of champagne were also available for those needing a cure from a late nite at the bar. Three nights rest followed by three gigantic breakfast's, unequalled service and standards made my stay in Krakow most memorable. I would strongly recommend the Sheraton Krakow experience
