we have just returned from staying at the shereton in krakow, myself and my mother, we had a wonderful time, the rooms the breakfasts, the sports bar next door, the olive resturaunt, everything was wonderful, but i must mention the staff, nothing was too much trouble, especially sandra and dorota, who worked in the cocktail bar they were lovely.
just one thing though--if you are going to the concentration camps, try to go by yourself ,we went on a tour and it was so rushed we did not see half of it ,go by yourself and take your time, it was still extremely moving though.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton, but the room was not nonsmoking and had a lingering smoky odor. The breakfast buffet was Huge! - much bigger than any buffet I've seen and it was really good. The lobby is really nice too. The location is very convenient to the major touristy sites and seems to be popular for business meetings as well.

Stayed in the Sheraton form 4th Apr until 7th Apr, loved every minute of it. The hotel was faultless in every department. The Sports bar was better value for money for me as I enjoy sport, service 1st class. We were picked up by an english speaking driver who also arranged to collect us for the return to the airport. Bob only charged 50zls, everyone else was charging 70zls+. I had booked the austwich & salt mine tours on-line through Cracow tours, no problems however bob would have done the tour for roughly the same price & I think next time I go i will use him as there was not a lot of time at the 2 camps and it was busy, therefore to purchase the tour guide and do it myself would have been better. I will return and re-visit the camps. Krarow itself was great, the square was great, just sitting around drinking a beer & watching the world go by, food is good and cheap enough, it caters for all sorts and is all well priced, felt safe enough whilst walking around. All in all 10 out of 10 for all aspects. As i said before bob is well worth contacting and arranging for transfers to & from the airport & more, his web site is www.bobtaxi.com.pl , it is in english as well as others, if you decide to go you will enjoy yourselves.

We have just returned from a most wonderful three day break at the Hotel Sheraton to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived( in the car arranged for us by the hotel) we were given the most courteous and friendly service. Our room was a delight with views over the river and the hotel management had provided a free bottle of champagne and roses to add to the sense of romance on this special occasion. We ate in both the restaurant (on the first night) and the adjoining bar -in fact we were able to order from the restaurant menu whilst sitting in the lounge bar and relaxing to the nightly piano music. Don't be put off by the restaurant prices (there is a wide range of reasonably priced dishes as well as more expensive ones) the food is excellent and suberbly presented. The hotel is clean and bright, the atmosphere very relaxing and the staff professional, respectful and friendly - all in all it was the best hotel we have stayed in in recent years.

  • Liked — The attitude friendliness and customer focus of ALL the staff
  • Disliked — Nothing to dislike except perhaps the price of wine! (not the hotel's fault due to high import taxes in Poland

Four of us (2 couples) stayed at the Sheraton Krakow over Easter for 5 nights. We had the most fantastic stay. From the minute we arrived we were made feel so welcome at the hotel. Checkin was very quick and efficient. Our rooms were great. My husband and myself were on the first floor with a view across the river and our friends were on the 3rd floor with a view to the castle. The rooms had everything you could want fluffy bathrobes, slippers, cable tv, internet access, iron and ironing board, 'proper' hairdryer, etc. The bed was so comfortable.

The hotel has a large atrium under which is situated the Olive Restaurant, where we were served the most tasty breakfast every morning, everything you could possibly want to eat. We never ate in the restaurant in the evening. However we did eat at the Sports Bar which serves American type fare, very good. We also ended every evening at Qube the hotel's lounge bar which served fab cocktails and you could also get snacks, coffee, etc. It was a great place to people watch. The staff at the hotel were so friendly and really made the difference.

We booked the hotel car for our trip to and from the airport and I would recommend this. We also booked the hotel car for our trip to Auschwitz-Birkeneau, as this is a long and very moving day it was a personal way to do the trip. We also went on an organised trip to the Salt Mines which was an enjoyable afternoon. We did a lot of walking and would recommend you take comfortable shoes. We would also recommend the golf buggy tour, good fun and a great way to see areas you might miss otherwise. The castle is stunning even in a snow blizzard! There are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants and we found the food everywhere very good and reasonably priced. A real treat is Zsara Restaurant on the main square. We did find over Easter Krakow to be very very quiet but by the end of the week the square was full of life, we would go back at a different time of year.

All in all we had a wonderful time. Yes the Sheraton Krakow is a large chain hotel and I am sure Krakow has some lovely hotels with more character and it is a bit more expensive, but we all just loved the Sheraton, a home from home, and if we ever go back to Krakow we will definitely stay there.

We loved this hotel from the minute we arrived. Wonderful location, very spacious, spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly, helpful and speak perfect English. The room had everything we needed and more, including an ice machine on each floor.

The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice.

We also ate in the hotel restaurant on one evening and it was top class.

I can't recommend this hotel enough and I would definitely stay here again on any return to Krakow.
