Stayed at the Sheraton Krakow in early January, 2012. This was our very first trip to Poland, and this hotel provided everything we needed to make our vacation enjoyable.

First of all, the location was excellent. This hotel is directly across from wonderful Wawel Castle and about ten minutes from the center of Old Town Krakow. Krakow is a charming medieval city but it was nice to have an American-style base (i.e. shower, beds, toilet, etc) so we could focus on our experience (rather than focusing on the differences between Poland and the Good Old USA). Plus, this hotel had ESPN which was great since I was in Eastern Europe during BCS bowl season.

Secondly, the service was top notch. Even the folks in the burger joint in the lobby were nice to us, and everything was reasonably priced--with the glaring exception of the breakfast in Olives hotel which was too expensive in my opinion.

We got a great deal on this hotel (about 90 bucks per night), but it's clean, safe, stylish, and well located, so I'd pay twice that price.

Room Tip: Choose a room facing the castle!

Stayed at this hotel for three nights from 3rd January 2012, the rooms where what you would expect from a 5* Hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the service in the bars and restaurants was incredible.

I ordered room service and from the time they took my order to the time it was delivered to my room was under 20 minutes. Overall a great hotel which I will be staying at again and will have no problem in recommending it to anyone that is thinking of traveling to Krakow.

Keep up the A1 standards of service Sheraton Krakow.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a river view........fantastic!!!!!!

Super-helpful staff, clean and comfy modern building. Wonderful if small health club in basement with small pool with good jets, saunas in the changing rooms and a very good little gym.

Easy walk into town, its next door to but across the river from Wawel.

Paid 180 pounds for a double for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year, which we thought very good value.

Definitely recommended.

Everything was very good about about this hotel:

1) Spacious, stately, spotlessly clean, well-appointed room
2) Great location next to the castle
3) Overall high level of service
4) Good breakfast
5) Good value - My room was just around US$135

There were a few minor issues:

1) Usually nobody manned the executive lounge - not very impressive treatment for your supposedly most valuable customers!
2) Poor water pressure in the shower and just not a very attractive bathroom - not terrible, but not up to the same standard as the rest of the room.

Overall, I would not say I was blown away by this hotel, but it was very good, and I would definitely recommend it on a visit to Krakow.

We have used this hotel on 4 occasions when making a TV series out of Krakow. It is an excellent, reliable property, well located. Staff are professional and helpful. Food and beverage is of a high standard.
