A very pleasant, clean and tidy hotel, very helpful and friendly staff. Ideally located close to the main tram line and takes only 15 mins to the centre on number 52 or 18. There is a large Tescos just 5 mins walk from the hotel, ideal for any bits you might need to pick up.

The rooms are spacious with basic TV channels, radio, A/C and mini bar. Nice comfy beds and plenty of space to store your clothes. Daily cleaning service with fresh towels.

You can book any trips directly through the hotel with pick up and drop off on the door step. The reception can also give you any info you need with regards to travelling and site seeing in Krakow.

The restaurant in the hotel is of a good standard with very tasty food. The complementary breakfast is also great with a choice of hot and cold food, cereals etc.....

If you have time I would definitely recommend using the spa, after 5 days of walking around Krakow, a full body massage was just what I needed.

We are very enjoyed for staying in the hotel. The service is exemplary - very nice and helpful people. Our room was clean and spacious. The hotel breakfast is real rarity (good quality meal and vegetables, large selection of dishes). An additional advantage is fact that hotel has swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and SPA. The hotel is located quite close to city center (by tram 10 minuts to Wawel and 15 minuts to market square)

The Hotel Sympozjum is about a 15 minute tram ride from the Old Town. It is also not particularly convenient for the airport. It reminded us of a 1970s business hotel. There is no atmosphere - only 2 people in restaurant on Saturday evening. The rooms are clean but very basic. No baths in the hotel, only showers. Breakfast is alright but no toast or fresh juice. This hotel is probably OK for conferences. I would advise finding somewhere in or nearer to the Old Town so that you can come and go without using the trams. On the plus side, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The under sheets do not fit the bed, so you find yourself sleeping on the mattress!!!!

Room Tip: I don't think there is much difference between rooms in this hotel. 3rd floor probably best as...

A little out of the way from town centre. But trams stop outside hotel and are regular. Staff at hotel were so friendly and extremely helpful. Clean and most comfortable. A good base. Taxis to and from town were approx 17 PLN which is about £4. I would stay there again. It isn't the Ritz. I would stay there again without hesitation.

This hotel was more than adequate for the money. The rooms are clean and tidy however I do think the bottom bed sheets could be a bit larger, but hey thats a minor problem. Breakfast was very good, staff very pleasant and helpful. The easiest way of getting to the hotel is via tram number 52 which goes almost to the front door.
Remember the tourist tax on departure, it's only a few coins but it meant us having to draw more money out from the cashpoint for our fares to the airport.

Before my son and I went to this hotel, we read some pretty poor reviews on Tripadvisor, so to put it in to context - you get what you pay for.

Here is our overview:

Cheap

Very near the tram to go into the centre of town - get the 52 or 18. There is a ticket machine at the stop that you can switch into English instructions. Note: If you have notes, take a lower denomination as it rejected a 50 Zl one we had initially. The Reception will give you a map to tell you exactly where to get off in the centre - once you have done it, it is all easy and by far the cheapest and quickest way both going into the centre and coming out.

Within 500 yds of the hotel is a 24 hour Tesco - great for stocking up on drinks etc. We emptied our room minibar of their stock and put our soft drinks in.

Reception staff always very helpful.

There is only wifi in the reception and bar/breakfast areas - but it is free so that is that!

There is a good selection of foods for a buffet style breakfast including cereals.

The decor in the room is "tired" but the bed was comfy and everything was very clean with towels changed every day. There is a free of cost safe in the wardrobe.

The appearance of the hotel is "more than tired" - but, if you want to pay more then do! This hotel was value for money and for the amount of time you probably spend in the room, it is fine.

If there are downsides:

There are no nice walks to go on.
There is no nice garden area

I definitely think people who review that the sheets do not fit on the beds are being just a little "precious"! The bedding was clean.

One thing I would recommend highly. Get Artur from Dream Cabs Krakow http://www.dreamcabkrakow.com/ to meet you at the airport and bring you to the hotel. The cost from airport to the hotel is £18.

Artur also took us to the Salt Mines and his cost was cheaper than an organised tour. He arranged for our tickets and guide and his English is perfect. He waited for us for 3 hours until our tour was over and brought us back to the hotel. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

If you're looking for a characterful hotel in Old Cracow, this isn't the place for you. However, the location is convenient for tram access into town and the staff try hard to make your stay as nice as possible despite the drab location and plain site/building.
Our room was nice and spacious with decent en-suite. We enjoyed three good nights sleep and were impressed by how little noise there was from outside or within the hotel. The hotel appears to cater more for the business customer seeking a convenient and functional venue, without niceties such as vistas and landscaping. Whilst the hotel offered facilities such as a pool and health and beauty spa, it was disappointing in its modest offering of lounge/relaxation area for a sizeable site.
The buffet breakfast was mediocre compared to similar size venues. We never ate a meal at the hotel simply because of lack of ambience and meal prices that are much higher than the excellent offerings in town (this opportunistic pricing was also true in the health spa). I remain puzzled by such pricing strategies that suggest the proprietors would rather accept a meagre takeup rather than be fully employed due to a value offering.
The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but even their efforts will struggle to add polish and appeal to the limited potential of the site. Our stay was part of a Groupon offering and provided fair value and an opportunity to visit the great value lovely city of Cracow and to be reminded of the grimmest example of man's inhumanity to man with a very worthwhile visit to nearby Auschwitz/Birkenau.
