Nice, clean, kind and effective staff. Bit old but in my view it gives it a lot of character. Location just perfect: within the old town, in a nice square not too full of tourists but 5 min. walk to main square. Really enjoyed my stay at this reasonably priced guesthouse.

I stayed here for a long weekend holiday in late April. The location is perfect, center of Krakow and walking distance to everything. The hotel room is simple, clean, and comfortable, no frills, but perfectly adequate for my needs. The staff at the front-desk were helpful in arranging an excellent driver/translator for a day-trip to a town about 80km west of Krakow. My only complaint was the pillows on the bed were thin and old, and the TV in the room didn't work, minor issues really. For the low price, you can't do better than the Globtroter, I prefer to spend my money on great food and entertainment, not a fancy hotel room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the street and night club.

My husband and I stayed here for several days during our first visit to Poland. Because we broke up our Polish adventure with a visit to the nearby national park, we stayed in two different rooms on two occasions. Both rooms were spacious and quiet. The use of their computer with internet was especially helpful. I must commend the staff as well as they were extremely helpful in assisting with the logistics of our travel. They gave us a ride to the airport and one to and from the national park for a small fee. We were able to store our luggage for the two nights that we were off to the park so that we could pack light for those two nights. In addition they were helpful in giving us tips on which buses to take for local attractions. You can't beat this location for being centrally located for old town Krakow and the price was very reasonable. Sorry for the late review as we stayed here Sept. 2011.

This was a nice, centrally located place to stay, for a good price in a great location. The room was clean, but 1970's like, but comfortable enough. We walked everywhere. It took us about 15 minutes to get from the train station. The service was good. 3 nights, July 2011

My wife and I stayed here and were very happy with the accommodation. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the reception staff were extremely helpful and the location is perfect. The pickup from the airport was very reasonable and the driver was very knowledgable and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect, not far from the train station and a quiet location right in the city center. The rooms were simple, spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, anticipated our needs. There are two great breakfast options just across the square. There is a hotpot and coffee cups in the room. Tea is provided for one morning, so bring your own or get some at a shop if you want more.

Globetroter (with one 't'?) has a good location just 2 minutes from the Market Square in Krakow's Old Town. You have to go through 2 sets of doors into a rear courtyard to find the place but my taxi driver knew where it was - nearly as well as he knew how to overcharge me for a short trip from the train station (25 zl - a rip-off!)

Staff at Globetroter were very friendly and helpful, recommending a couple of local restaurants. Rooms were clean and a bit old-fashioned with very high ceilings and lots of wooden beams. There was a club next door but the noise levels were never an issue.

Would use this place if I go to Krakow again. Just watch out for the predatory cab drivers....

Room Tip: No lift, so first floor is best unless you're a) super-fit or b) have no luggage
