“great stay”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

The hotel is in an ideal location for visiting the city and after we arrived we were shown to a delightful room which was of a good size. All the the facilities ie.Tea/coffee/ hair dryer..iron and board, plenty of wardrobe space and my wife was pleasantly surprised with the large well lit mirror with a plug socket right next to it. We walked to the Jewish quarter and Schindlers factory which took about thirty minutes. Auschwitz and the salt mines were either a train or bus or organised tour. All were excellent. If you use the bus make sure you buy a ticket.

We had a three night stay at this hotel in the last week of Feb. Our stay could only be described as wonderful. It is situated just off the main square opposite a park. There is a busy main road to the front of the hotel but this hotel is so well soundproofed you cant hear a thing from outside. The staff cannot do enough for their guests and the breakfast is amazing. Krakow is a great place to visit with a lot going on. Anyone wishing to visit should choose the Radisson as we found it first class.

Room Tip: We had a standard double room which was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Ideal for a few d...

Just returned from 4 nights at the Radisson Blu in Krakow. What can I say ? Everything was top quality from the greeting by Reception on arrival, the service by all staff, without exception, from the Trainee and staff on the front desk, the Concierges, the housekeepers and the waiting-on staff in the breakfast restaurant; nothing was too much trouble, from providing us with maps, directions and local information to organising trips for us. Milk in the room and extra towels appeared almost instantaneously.

our room on the second floor was very well-appointed and comfortable, the only downsides being the noise of the room air conditioning - which you actually automatically turned off by opening the window ! - which then gave you the noise of the external air conditioning units, and the extremely squidgy pillows.

The breakfasts (Included in our case) had so much choice - both hot dishes and cold buffet - that we could just have spent all morning eating !

For location, it is outstanding; it faces a park and is literally 10 minutes from the main square and all the restaurants, 5 minutes from the Wawel Castle and Cathedral and 20 minutes from the Old Jewish Quarter. We didn't need to take a bus, cab or tram for the whole of our 5 day stay. The only thing was we didn't have enough time to see and do all the things we wanted to - hence we will be returning again in the Autumn and will definitely be staying at the Radisson Blu

David & Diane

Room Tip: A room at the side overlooking the Baia Rosia restaurant would probably be the best.

Stayed here for 10 days on business. The usual hotel we stay in by the station was full but I was more than happy with the radisson. The location is great for a tourist, a few minutes from the castle, a short stroll into the old town or a longer walk into the jewfish district. But for the train station twice a day in winter its a bit of a trek. The rooms were spacious and clean, yes the tv tower thing is odd and the oldest television I have seen since my youth, but we did get a note to say the tvs are being upgraded -hopefully the tower too. I ran out of a number of things in the bathroom and some didn't get replaced at all, others were replaced after a few days, but I did have about 4 shower gels! The shower is an over bath type that I had to turn at a strange angle to get it to point straight into the bath, it had rather a pathetic spray and leaked onto the floor. The gym is good with a selection of machines, free weights and kettle bells and it was rarely used. There are showers, changing rooms and separate male/female saunas. It also had some nice body products that I stocked up on having run out. I also booked a massage and it was the worst massage I have ever had, oil just stroked across my body, I came out dripping in oil not feeling the effects of a massage at all, I had booked another for the following day, I quickly cancelled it. I ate once in the restaurant, it was overpriced and very poor quality, on the evenings that I was late back from work I skipped dinner rather than get something from the restaurant. I noticed that the hotel had bikes for use of the guests and being opposite the park it would have been great to have the time to take a bike out -perhaps on another occasion I would cycle down through the Planty to the castle and ride along the cycle path by the river I am told that there is a beautiful monastery about 15+ km away.

Negatives on the hotel is that it seems everyone slams the doors to their rooms causing things to shake in my room. On Sunday afternoon some kids thought it was a great game to slam the doors and run screaming up and down the corridor for an hour. Unacceptable was housekeeping trying to get into my room at 9am on Sunday, my 3 colleagues complained of the same thing, so not just an error. The rumble of the trams was quite loud in my room, but I got used to it.

Staff are great, really helpful and do everything to make your stay pleasant. Breakfast is as you would expect, plentiful and huge variety, they have a great grab and go option from 5 am and you can even order a breakfast box if you are heading out earlier.

The most challenging thing was trying to pronounce the name of the street that the radisson is located on, not all taxi drivers know the address - good luck!

A lovely hotel in perfect location for exploring the city - just a short 2-minute walk from the main square and down the road from the lovely Wawel castle.
The staff were friendly and helpful, booking a taxi for us back to the airport without a problem. The taxi ride is roughly 20 minutes to the airport and cost 85zloty (approx. £17).
The hotel itself is clean and brightly decorated, and a big plus for staying in Krakow - really warm! Perhaps the only issue we had was that some building works were taking place while we were there. We had a letter in the room informing us that works would take place between 11am and 6pm, which wasn't a problem for us. However, on Saturday morning we were woken up at 8am by drilling in the room above us. Having said that, this only went on for 20 minutes and there was no further disruption.
Overall, a lovely hotel with fantastic service and a perfect location. Would absolutely return and recommend!

The location is great, walking distance from all major points in the old city. Reception staff, concierges & service personnel were friendly & helpful.
The room was fine, although we didn't really like the tube television/minibar tower. The desk was a bit scuffed. Bathroom was fine & clean, although it flooded easily during a shower.
Breakfast was a well stocked hot & cold buffet with juices, teas & filter coffee. Nice to have a glass of champaigne with your fresh fruit salad as well.
All in all, a solid base for your explorations of Krakow, you get what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

We stayed here Thursday 13 February to Sunday 16 February and cannot fault the hotel or service we received. The room was bright, fresh and clean with tea and coffee facilities and bottled water left for us every day. The breakfast was excellent, and the champagne was a nice touch. We did not fly back until 9pm on Sunday night, so the hotel reception arranged for us to keep our room until 5pm at no extra cost. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the old town. Krakow is a beautiful city with lots to keep you occupied for a few days. The Radisson Blu is the perfect place to stay.
