This hotel is perfectly situated on the Old Town Square. We were fortunate to get a room overlooking the Square! Our room had 15 foot high ceilings, was made of beautiful wood with a 4 post canopied bed. It had a fantastic shower with big rainfall shower head. The staff were excellent, especially Joanna and Robert. The staff even make it a point to standup from what they are doing when you walk in the front door or walk down the stairs. I told them to remain seated, but they insisted. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants. The breakfast was good with a lovely selection and a menu that included 3 egg dishes. Everything about this hotel was wonderful! I highly recommend it! We would definitely stay here again when visiting Krakow!

This hotel is located right on the market square. We had a room overlooking the square and it is the best view. Krakow is beautiful place, friendly locals, plenty of restaurants and bars. Most importantly its very cheap compared to Ireland and UK.

Highly recommend for a visit and guaranteed value for money. Will be back for a visit again for sure.

Room Tip: Best Views directly to the Square

We stayed at the historic Wentzl for four nights in July. My room overlooked the square, definitely a "Room with a View". With the windows open, I could hear the trumpeter from St Mary's every hour on the hour. At night with the windows closed, the room was quiet. My room had high ceilings with exposed beams and was classically decorated. The marble bathroom was a treat with every attention given to my comfort, including fresh flowers.

Breakfast was included and a delight. The buffet was varied and delicious. You could also order from a very flexible menu. With so many options, you could tailor your meal to your tastes. The beautiful and comfortable salon invited you to linger and enjoy the start to your day.
I loved our stay at the Wentzl. This historic hotel has old world charm and individuality. All the staff was gracious. Its location cannot be beat.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the square are amazing! The second floor rooms have larger windows and tall ceilings.

Can't beat the location of this hotel! Right on Krakow's main market square with a fantastic view of St. Mary's Basilica and the Cloth Hall. The hotel is in a beautiful centuries old building. Our room was huge with a modern bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and plentiful with a buffet as well as hot food from the breakfast menu and it was in the hotel's very elegant upstairs dining room. Our only complaint was that the room decor is dated. We had room 31 in the "double Lux" category and definitely worth spending a little more for the view. The hotel's website has photos and the location of each of the rooms. I see some questions on Trip Advisor asking if it was too loud at night. We were there three nights, including a Saturday, and didn't hear a thing. Krakow is a must-see and there is no better location than Hotel Wentzl.

A superb hotel, with a fabulous breakfast and the most helpful and accommodating staff.
When I inquired about a tour the staff at reception organized a private tour which worked out far cheaper.
We were in a room overlooking the square- a must if you can get it.
