This hotel is perfectly located being right on the square. The rooms were large with views over the square. It has character and is very comfortable. The service from the staff was absolutely excellent. I can thoroughly recommend the WENTZL to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in the most central position.

Room Tip: Third floor overlooking the square are great.

This is a small property in a historic building which has been modernized in upscale fashion. It is right on the historic square overlooking the whole busy scene. Our luxurious attic room had a balcony overlooking it all. The staff was helpful, but we did better finding our own restaurants for dinner. The breakfast in the hotel was wonderful in a beautiful room with fanciful decor!

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor with balcony. It is a bit noisier, but you feel a part of the whole square

This hotel is right on the main square in Krakow and is attached to a Michelin rated restaurant. Our room was decorated in a very modern decor, was spacious, and had a comfortable king sized bed. Our balcony with two chairs overlooked roof-tops in the back, but it was too cool and rainy to sit there. Nice breakfast buffet in the Michelin rated restaurant which, unfortunately, we did not get to eat in because it was our last night in Poland and I wanted to stay with Polish cuisine. Next trip, however, we'll stay in the hotel and we'll eat at the restaurant! My brother and his wife had a room with a standing only balcony overlooking the square, which we all thought was nice but they said it was very noisy at night, even with the door shut and curtains drawn, so staying on the back side where we were was fortunate for us.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the back side, away from the central square, which gets very noisy late at night.

We’ve just returned from a 4-night trip to Krakow, staying at the wonderful Wentzl Hotel on Rynek Glowny. We were in room 21, a beautiful suite with fantastic views over the square. A large double-glazed window allowed us to view everything on the square but kept all of the noise out. Air conditioning was available if required, but we were blessed with gorgeous weather so didn’t use it. The room was rather warm, perhaps we should have used the air-con.
The décor is superb with original art on the very high walls; the bed was massive with a fine canopy and a firm but comfortable mattress. The bathroom had everything anyone could possibly want including complimentary towelling bath robes and slippers.
The Hotel’s staff were very polite and friendly and our every wish was attended to.
There was no Sky TV, and only a limited number of English speaking channels, but a vast list of DVDs was available, but we didn’t go there to stare at the ‘telly.
The room had a well-stocked mini-bar, together with free coffee and tea making facilities; and fresh apples every day.
The breakfasts were served in another fabulously decorated room on the first floor. The choice of hot food was a little limited, with no tomato, mushroom or other ‘extras’, but the eggs were very fresh and the bacon delicious. There was also the usual continental cold meats, cheeses and fresh fruit juice and cereals. The bread was fabulous! We were surprised to note that the ‘cold’ food that was on display was not refrigerated (salmon, crab and mayonnaise and cheesecakes).
The coffee machine was easily mastered after a quick lesson from our helpful waitress.
The hotel really is central for everything; although apart from breakfast we did not dine there; but there were a great selection of traditional Polish and other International styles of restaurants close by.
Our early evenings were spent sitting in one of the myriad of cafes on the square, sipping Vodka and people watching.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the square.

This hotel is simply wonderful, located in Krakow old town square.
We had a room facing the square.
Interesting rooms, very comfortable, great size bathroom and it has everything you need.
Excellent breakfast buffet choices and you can also order eggs made seperately.
Joanna was very pleasant helped with our stay.
This hotel gave us a VIP feeling and is an excellent hotel in the beautiful city of Krakow.
For a true authentic Polish restaurant very very affordable and great dishes go to Brodo around the corner, but ask the reception to point you in the right direction. There is also 24 hour perogie restaurant.

Room Tip: OF course ask for the old town square view..think all the rooms have it but ask just in case

What a hidden gem. We are both into city breaks for culture, history, food, people etc. Krakow itself is absolutely stunning in all respects. The Hotel Wentzl topped it all. Great room very very friendly and helpful staff amazing value and bang on overlooking the square. I would go back tomorrow.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the square really add great value to the trip.

We stayed for four nights on a third floor room overlooking the main market square, Rynek Glowny. The reception staff were very professional and helpful both before our visit in helping to arrange tours and trips and during our stay. Our room was very comfortable, the nespresso machine was a treat and coffeee capsules replenished twice a day. The view over the market square was outstanding. There was activity in the square at all times and lots to watch and listed to, from "street dancing" to folk music, a jazz band and one morning a grand piano appeared !! All watchable from the comfort of our room.

We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was also very good with a small buffet and eggs / bacon etc cooked to order.
