This is a well-sited hotel with very friendly staff, great rooms (well ours was! Room no. 1), a tiny fitness area and a good restaurant. Although our room was located directly off the lobby and faced the front of the street it was extremely quiet. We stayed here 22-26th Feb. Although 3 out of the 4 days were bitingly cold the hotel was warm and toasty. The bathroom was great - the thing that made it for me was that the towels actually smelt of clean washing rather than anodyne hotel bleach! The toiletries were L'Occitane and there was a separate bath and shower. The bathroom also had a heated floor and there were lots of towels. The breakfasts were excellent and we had dinner there one night which was highly delicious too. The staff were friendly and had lots of helpful suggestions about where to eat. They helped to organise a trip to the Salt Mines (yes we could have done this cheaper ourselves, but this is Poland so we're talking only a few pounds). Highly recommended as a place to base yourself for a short trip to Krakow.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Copernicus in Krakow Poland. The hotel is a completely restored 18th century(?) building in the middle of the old city. The lobby, architecture and furnishing, are absolutely gorgeous. Glass elevator reaches up to a glass roof which encloses the lobby and restaurant area. The dining room food, decor and service were wonderful. The room was adequate in size and beautifully decorated. All in all a great experience. Kind of what you would expect from Relais and Chateau.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed for 5 nights over the new year in a suite with my husband. Although it was expensive it was well worth it and i would recommend the hotel to anyone. The food was top class, the service prompt and discreet. Our room was gorgeous, our bathroom alone was amazing! Under floor heating, giant sunken bath, lovely L'Occitane products. The hotels location and views are second to none. A real treat, an unforgettable hotel in an unforgettable city.

We stayed at the Copernicus last month and loved it. After reading a couple of the less-than-positive reviews here on tripadvisor.com, we were a bit apprehensive, but found the hotel to be as nice as any we have stayed at in Europe. The staff was young, but friendly and competent, promptly dealing with almost all of our requests, including a cot for our young daughter, maps, rental car reservations, late checkout, a guide for a side-trip to Czestochowa, and finding us an English-speaking church service.

We loved our room, which had a nice king-sized bed (a rarity in Europe), a large sitting area with desk and coffetable, and a large marble bathroom with a Jacuzzi. We also liked the fact that the hotel had an indoor pool, which made for a nice reward each day for our daughter after hours of sightseeing. The rooftop patio was also a plus, with its great view of Wawel Castle and the cathedral.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. It is just below Wawel Castle, and a short 5-10 minute walk to the main square in the old town. We were able to easily walk to all of the major attractions in the city.

In summary, we were very happy with our choice to stay at the Copernicus.
