“Rt Regent Not that Good”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We researched this hotel before we booked it. Six of us i.e. three couples for 4 nights. We booked it because there was a restuarant and a bar and it was within walking distance of town. Right on one account only, walking into town. Every night we had to walk into town to get dinner and a drink as the restaurant and bar were closed. No coffee or tea making facilities offered. We did ask about the advertised restaurant etc but received no explanation, infact the staff were as annoyed as us and asked us to make these comments about the lack of facilities.
The reception were very helpful and tried their best in all things to do with our room but were helpless in the other respects. Breakfast was there but a very large group were on a bustour and most of the food was already gone by 8.00. Very little was replenished so very little choice or nothing left. Things better on the last day because they had left the hotel the day previously.

Room Tip: choose room at side or back of hotel, they are quieter away from the rowdy publis and car alarms at...

Dear Sir, Madam

We apologize for any inconvenience and disappointment concerning the work of our restaurant. Due to necessary repair and replacement kitchen equipment had to limit its availability for guests. We propose to use other proven and popular nearby restaurants. Of course, we realize that this is not always satisfactory for guests.
We will make every effort to solve this problem as soon as possible.
Despite these disappointments, thank you very much for the general good opinion of our other services.

Best regards
Iwona Sulikowska

My wife and I stayed here for four nights at the end of August for our anniversary. On arrival we were greeted nicely. We were given our room on the ground floor. This initially wasnt a problem until we realised there was no aircon and it was over 30 degrees c. I asked at reception about a room change which was rejected due to them being full. I explained about the heat that we didnt feel safe leaving the windows open whilst we slept (street level room). I have stayed in Krakow on numerous occasions and it is extremely safe for tourists, nevertheless we were worried. I explained my worries to the receptionist who showed us the window shutter. This dropped down and secured the room thus allowing the windows to be left open. Trouble was the shutters then closed off any fresh air except through very small slits in the metal slats. We will not stay in the regent again in the summer when we visit next time but only for this one reason. Otherwise it was a great break we especially enjoyed the garden bar one minutes walk from the hotel.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your review of our property. We are very sorry that you were disappointed with the lack of air conditioning in our hotel. Our goal is to meet all expectations of every guest but sometimes we can not do anything. I apologize that we could not change your room on a higher floor but we really were fully booked. I hope that you give us a second chance in the future.
Kind regards.

We stayed for 7 nights at this wonderfull hotel in the Jewish quarter.
We arrived early in the morning and was welcomed by the receptionist Wojciech who was able to check us in already.

The hotel is located in the street Jozefa, just ind the middle of the Jewish quarter with a lot of small and Cousy bars, restaurants and tiny boutiques.

Great and very smiling and helpfull staff. Breakfast was served in the basement in a lovely room and could also be enjoyed outside in the lively court yard.

The oldest synagogue in Krakow is just 3 min. Walk away and the main square Rynek Glowny about 10.

I can definitely recommend the Auschwitz/Birkenau tour that the hotel offers. We gave 130 Zloty for a very interesting and horrifying knowledge which everyone should know about. The guide was excellent and was really passionated and told us s lot of different stories that took place during the nazi time.

Also it is worth recommending the absolute top Argentinian restaurant Pimiento ind Jozefa street, wow what a steak!!!
Also visit Klimaty Poludnia in the Gertrud street, great food accomplished with wonderfull service for really reasonable prices.

I can only give my best recommendation to this hotel and it's staff, YOU do a great job, keep on and we will definitely return to this lovely and most beautifull city of yours.

Very clean, fantastic large room in the attic. Staff were attentive and I enjoyed the contnental breakfast. Excellent location for whole of Krakow, within 15 minutes walk of everywhere of interest. The Jewish quaerter is lively at night and they obviously dont sleep until 5 in the morning.

Room Tip: Ask for large twin room,

Literally just landed from an amazing first trip to krakow! This hotel made the trip what it was along with this beautiful city. The location is perfect for exploring the city. Local bars all around it. The size of rooms were big cleanliness was like 5* we don't eat breakfast but nice cold juices and coffee were readily available. The staff were so extremely helpful they helped us with everything from directions to locating places on the Internet for us. Always friendly and welcoming English was excellent. We will be returning back to this hotel very soon. We won't stAy anywhere else. Please note this hotel is located in a local area and is in a city so street noise and bar noise is inevitable as but krakow is a bustling city not a sleepy seaside town. Can't wait to return, will be making another booking very soon as value for money does not do this wonderful place justice. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Fantastic hotel in Krakows Jewish quarter, about 10 minute walk away from main square in krakow. Hotel was lovely, very old traditional building with a fantastic beer garden. The hotel is quite near a fantastic cluster of bars and restaurants that serve fantastic food and drink for really reasonable prices (great when you dont want to travel into the main square). Hotel amenities were great, no hairdryer or iron facilities in room but all we had to do was ask at reception and they didnt hound us for them back. The bathroom facilities were great and the hotel provided fresh bottled water each day which was fantastic. I will return to this hotel in the future and would recommend to anyone.
