This is a must do experience. First of all to walk all the way up. And then a downward view of Rynek. If you are a photography person, this is a must do. Bear in mind the access is closed in winter season. Open only in summers.

The entire old town is lovely and very easy to get around on foot as it is rather compact. Lots of outdoor restaurants where you can sit and enjoy the activities of the square.

This impressive Gothic tower (70 meters tall, leans about 55 centimeters from the effect of a storm in 1703) is the only remaining part of the old Town Hall demolished in 1820 to open up the Main Square. In addition to being a dominant feature on the Town Square, it serves as a Division of the Historical Museum of Krakow and its cellars once housed a city prison with a medieval torture chamber. Since it features so prominently on the Old Town Square it is difficult to miss in any case.

Lovely tower to look at and worth the small fee for a climb up to the top for great views of the main square and beyond.
