I Had a walk around the castle when exploring Kraków and it is very picturesque.

I personally didn't pay to go inside but i passed a ticket booth in the grounds of the castle where you could purchase tickets to go inside.

If you go and visit the castle remember to have a walk round the back along the river and that is where the fire breathing dragon is.

The Wawel castle was a trip we didn’t plan, because of the unexpected closure of Auschwitz. However, the scenery from the castle grounds was breathtaking. The wind was not doing us any favours with our group photos but the location was beautiful.

The castle wasn’t open when we went up there so we just walked around the grounds and took in the sights.

Would recommend this sight but check the weather before you go.

Really good value for money we paid £12 for 2 tickets with audio amazing value. The history is enchanting and the tombs are breathtaking, I would definitely recommend this as a must whilst in Kraków and the Cafe is nice. So much to see and do.

Read reviews on this place and hotel room over looked it so had a casual work over. Visited on first full day in Krakow. This is a real gem of a place. Entry and head phone hire worked out to about £4 each.
Great views and great place to visit. Lots of interesting historical pieces to look at and story’s to listen to.
I’d advise getting there early as did get crowded later on.
