A strange and somewhat disappointing place in a lot of ways. I would suspect that that this was a magnificent structure at one time in the past, and there are obvious efforts made to restore some semblance of what once was. There was also an impressive list of places that could be visited within it, each with a charge. It was difficult to work out what was real, restored, or replaced. Hard to take a castle structure in 20th century bricks as real. Great views from its position, as befits a castle site.
