The main square in a Krakow is just beautiful. The architecture of the buildings is stunning and it’s great to sit and watch the world go by. There are lots of stalls to buy souvineers however you can buy them elsewhere for a lower price.

Beautiful area but stay away if you're not a fan or crowds. Several places to eat or sit down and enjoy yourself and people watch. I was there during new years and the street vendors was great. I'm not sure if they are there year round though. If you do happen to go during the new year you should make reservations because all of the restaurants were booked. There were several streets blocked off as well.

Nothing better than a stroll through the square and letting serendipity lead your way. The colors, lights, people, and entertainers make the square.

Definitely enjoy the cloth hall for reasonably priced quality souvenirs, St Mary's, and a restaurant for a beer or dinner. Carriage rides are popular, but it was interesting to see how "dis-interested" the carriage drivers were. As they drove about, they looked bored or just had their head down looking at their cell phone. It took away from the charm, but the horses and carriage make up for it...

Beautiful old traditional square with some fine buildings and churches. around square there are numerous bars/restaurants serving a wide variety of food styles, although they tend to be more expensive that elsewhere in Krakow

Though not Piazza San Marco, but a great square it is. Surrounded by beautiful architecture and cafés and antique shops. A number of horse drawn carriages mainly manned by female drivers, beautifully decorated stationed on this square, a wonderful experience seeing some sights. There are various styles of touring the city, individuals with umbrellas, for small groups, and other types of guided tours. Surprisingly so many speak such good English. Excellent location to people watch while having very good coffee or have a polish meal in the square. A place to be and be seen, definitely.
