As visitors of the most lauded museums of every city we visit, my wife and I agreed this was the worst one we have ever been to. Essentially the have 2 works of note in the museum. Leonardo DiVinci's painting of a lady and her marmet was not impreseive. Rembrant's painting of the Good Samaritan story was nice, but they have it roped off from too far away to really study and enjoy it. And the moment I leaned over the rope to get a closer look (with my hands locked behind my back mind you) a security person snapped at me in Polish to back up. The rest of the collection was of little or no interest.

“Ecclectic mix of art and treasures.”
Reviewed September 21, 2009

The Czartoryski Museum is located on Jana Street on the right side as you face the Piarist Church. It's a fairly non-descript entrance and easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. The ticket office, audio guides, and a small gift shop are located through the door to the right.

Most people come for Leonardo's "Lady with an Ermine" painting, but the museum's collection is quite impressive aside from this. It includes Turkish armor and saddles, Roman statues, Egyptian artifacts, and many quirky exhibits that I don't want to list so as not to spoil the fun. I found the audio guide a nice (and inexpensive ~5PLN) addition to the admission ticket and it covers most of the main pieces of interest.

Recommended for those who want to escape into a different world for a couple hours. This was my introduction to the city and proved to be quite memorable.
