“Breath taking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

The altar is staggeringly beautiful. Great example of Baroque style in the church. There is a free tour, but pay the few $ US and gain entry to the altar area. The tickets are sold in a stall across the square from the tour entrance. The bugler plays every hour from the tower. It is not a particularly crowded church to visit and you may take photos inside the church.

“if you are into churches, see this one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

Don't miss the bugler! He's there every hour in the tower. Watch him wave.

The interior is definitely worth taking time to see.

“My Favorite Place in Krakow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Probably the most famous Polish Church after Jasna Gora in Czestochowa. You can stand for hours in front of the main alter created by Vit Stwosz in 15 century and you will not be able to fully comprehend the unbelievably artistry and technique that took to create this masterpiece. For anyone religious, it is a wonderful place to pray and meditate.

“Definitely worth a look.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

I'm not really a church goer, but as i was there I popped in. Was somewhat disappointed to find I had to pay to enter, but once inside all moans were forgotten.
The ceiling is quite simply spectacular, the windows are beautiful and the entire building is stunning.
The peace and quiet inside is a marked difference from the bustling main square of Krakow just yards away, and the tranquility inside gives you the time and the ability to soak in the atmosphere of this incredible building.
Even if you aren't a church goer, or have a particular interest in architecture, this church really is worth half an hour of your time.
Minor gripes, paying to get in and having to pay for a ticket to take pictures.
