Owner description: One of the most famous of Poland's churches, this Gothic structure features two striking towers, the taller of which is a magnificent Gothic spire with a gold-plated crown built in 1666.

If you love medieval churches - go there. if you admire medieval sculpture - you must go there. The church houses the huge wooden altar carved by the German sculptor from Nuerenberg - Veit Stoss (in Polish: Wit Stwosz).

It´s the church in the main square. It´s the most beautifull monument you have in Krakow. Outside it´s beautifull , you can take really goof photos, but inside it´s not so good. The tours are the best part of it.

Note that tickets should be purchased across the road from the church, and they also charge a fee for camera usage. Once you've got tickets, enter the church on the side.

The interior is divided into two sections, one for praying people at the rear, and one for paying visitors at the side and front. The main pieces to see -- the status of Jesus on the cross and the altar piece, are in the paying visitors section and are both spectacular to observe. The catedral is ornately decorated from floor to ceiling and has many details worth observing. We particularly liked the station of the cross pictures approaching the altar.

The main area of the church isn't as large as others we have visited, but the details will occupy you so leave at least 30-60 minutes to observe in detail.

We did not see any option to climb the tower, which would have been nice...

Did not like paying to go into a church, and have to pay again to take photos. The place itself was very impressive though

If you are Catholic, you might want to attend Mass here. Masses are performed several times each day.
Additionally, there is a bugle that has been played each hour 24/7 since the Goths invaded around 1100 AD.
Every time I visit Krakow, this is one of the first places I go.
