The main courtyard is well visited by groups especially on the hour when the clock doors open and music is played whilst models of important figures walk around on a platform. The other courtyard is a lovely place to sit with statues and scientific instruments. The library visit is very good, 1 hour is best to see all the old scientific instruments etc. but you can go in on your own for free on Wednesday afternoon between 3 & 6pm. Well worth a visit to this historical university.

Both Pope John Paul II and Copernicus walked these halls. You will learn history and find treasures from "good students"(according to the tour guide).

If possible, Take Friday tour to see more scientifically significant tools. You might get a reservation as limited #s are allowed. Even if not taking the tour, Stop by on the hour to see courtyard clock display.

Went to see on a tour, which is probably the best way. Can't remember it all, but the clock played music and had some characters come out in a particular order of importance. For some reason, this is why students can be late to class our guide said. Probably wouldn't make a stop there on your own. Go w a guide.
