Owner description: Encircling the Old Town district, this 14th-century gate and its four towers are the remnants of the city's fortifications, most of which were destroyed at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

If you've seen one gateway to a fortified area you've seen them all Nothing particularly special about this one especially as the fortifications have long gone.

Take a slow walk through this street. Lots of restaurants and shops. In one end of the strret you can see the Florian Tower, in the other end Sct. Maria church and Rynek

This is an interesting old building. If you go through it it leads to the Barbican building , another photo opportunity.

Doesn't take long, it's not expensive and I'm glad we went inside. It's very a good example of this kind of defensive wall structure.
