Just back from a few days in Krakow and I was not disappointed! We organised a day trip to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines with a private tour group. There was 6 of us and the bus picked us up from our accommodation. We visited Auschwitz first, a long tour so be warned to get a good breakfast in first. We visited on a day where it was -6 degrees Celsius and needless to say the cold was stifling so make sure you wrap up well! The salt mines are a lovely way to unwind after the tense atmosphere at Auschwitz, the mines have a strange serenity to them and it is a very calm environment plus you get to lick the walls to extract the salt-great for those with a savory tooth ;)There are several gift shops down at the bottom of the mine, I bought a beautiful salt lamp- worth a lot of money over here but in Poland it only cost roughly €10!! Major bargain! Certainly recommend both tours to anyone, you wont be disappointed!

We booked ahead after reading the reviews here. Booking with Tomasz by phone or email is very easy. The driver (Karel) arrived promptly at the hotel at 09.00 and couldn't have been more helpful and informative throughout the day. He organised tickets at both Auschwitz and the Salt Mine and got us to the front of the queue. After a chilling visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau (minus 16 and snowing) he offered to take us to a local restaurant - this is optional - but we would advise taking the opportunity. We were taken to a cosy, family -run Polish restaurant, and enjoyed a superb home-cooked meal. My wife is a vegetarian, and Karel took care of that for her, as the options were mainly meat and fish. After a visit to the Salt Mine, we arrived back at the hotel around 19.00. Use this company and I'm sure you won't be disappointed

We used Tomasz for our recent trip to the salt mines and then auschwitz. He was recommended by family members who had previously used his company. He was punctual picking us up from our hotel. Friendly and very professional. He took care of all the tickets and got us to the front of line at the salt mines and made sure our head sets were working at Auschwitz. I was very aprehensive about this trip. I found it very emotional. Our guide there was informative, simpathetic and thought provoking. We would definately recommend Tomasz to anyone going to Krakow.

Auschwitz camp:
The world war two started by the German Nazis in 1940s, eventually evolved into an extermination of the Jews. This is the world's biggest and most cruel death camp ever. The tour guide that we had was great, and he constantly reminded us that what we see are not just objects, but every little thing belong to a human, a human like you and I. A human who had rights. Everyone who came here, till the very end, held on the every bit of hope, and chance to survive. Some made it, while more than 1.1million did not.

A tour worth going, cause it is not just a tour. But something that reminds us that in this world today, we should respect and love each other and never take the peace we enjoy for granted.

SALT MINE:
one of the first 12 inaugural UNESCO heritage site and every bit deserving. Take a look into the salt mine, lick the walls (yes, lick the walls) and enjoy its beauty.

I have recently returned from a trip to Krakow, we spent one day visiting Auschwitz and the salt mines. We used Tomasz for the trip, he is extremely professional and very knowledgeable of the sites in Krakow. Tomasz also took care of organising all of our tickets and entance to the venues, this made our experience entirely trouble free.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the services of Tomasz to any visitors to Krakow, if you look at his feedback it is second to none and very well deserved, well done Tomasz !!
