Our pick up was on time and we were informed of what was happening. The tour guide was very knowledable and well informed. The tour flowed well first starting on a mini bus then finish on foot. It was all timed to match events happening through out the day, such as the trumpeter in the square and the chimming of the colledge clock. Half day tour leaving plenty of time to wonder around.

Went on a trip with Cracow tours , the tour itself was good and the guide very helpful, so no problem there.
Bad point, picked up from hotel taken to another location and transferred from nice coach to an older one with little space. As the trip was an hour on the coach it would have been nice to get a decent seat, not the last seat with a broken one in front crushing your legs.
Sorry but as there are many operators would suggest you check around.

Booked two trips with this company through the hotel, and I'm not dissapointed that I did!
They picked us up at the hotel, and both trips was an amazing journey. First we went to Auschwitz-Birkenau, and then to Wieliczka Salt Mine.
The first trip speaks for it self, the gruesomness of WW2 and what happend in the concentration camps. It was a fascinating guided tour, only the weather (snowy and cold) made it a bit less of a great tour than it could have been.
The salt mine was great! The stairs aren't that hard to walk down, and it's remarkable what they have done for several hundred years!
I can recommend this company for others who would like to have a guided tour of these places :-)

Generally, I am not one for taking a bus tour of anything and tend to be a self-serve traveler. However, when preparing for a recent trip to Krakow, I was having trouble figuring the best and most efficient way to tour Auschwitz and Birkenau. I settled on Cracow Tours and confirmed my choice with my hotel concierge. The bus left from in front of my hotel, the Sheraton Krakow, at 9AM and the 75 minute trip included a numbing film in English preparing us for the day. The bus guide named Anna was quite good and explained how things would go. When we arrived at Auschwitz, we met our site guide who was outstanding - Our group was split into 2 smaller groups of 12 or so and it was quite manageable. Once the Auschwitz portion was complete we re-combined for a short bus ride to Birkenau - prior to leaving, there was a 20-30 minute brake for restrooms and snacks. I would recommend bringing along something to eat as the options are not good - mainly snacks and soft drinks. After Birkenau, the group bussed back to Krakow without any problems, We arrived back at the hotel at about 3PM. All in all, a very memorable experience enhanced by the efficiency and knowledge of the driver and guide. The camp has licensed guides that can only give the tours, but the handoff from Cracow Tours to the camp guide was seamless and worked very well. The cost was 130z for an adult and 65z for a student. The bus was clean and comfortable and the whole day worked great. Visiting Auschwitz was a moving and memorable experience, one that cannot be missed. Cracow Tours helped facilitate an excellent experience.
