Just spent 3 days at the Red Kurka and were wowed by the excellent welcome, the cleanliness of the apartment and the excellent location just 5 minutes from the market square and a few minutes from the lovely jewish quarter. Despite the central location the apartment was very quiet. Karl and Ewa were very welcoming even before the visit and were very helpful during it. Would definitely stay again if we returned to Krakow.

We (party of 6) stayed in Apartments A & B over three nights in March '13. Before arriving any questions we had were answered promptly via email which was great. Karl & Ewa met us at the apartments when we arrived, despite it being quite late the evening. The apartments are really lovely: comfortable, clean with lovely decorative touches and ample space. Their location, about five minutes walk from the main square, is also great. There is a supermarket next door for any self catering you want to do, the kitchens are well-equipped in the apartments. In short: perfect apartments for groups, couples..anyone really. Highly recommend.

We received a lovely warm welcome on our arrival.
We spent four nights in apartment A and realized what a superb choice Red Kurka had been, we were provided with lots of information on places to eat and a map to help get around.
As commented on previously make sure you visit The Pod Baranem restaurant 5 minutes down the road and try the Wild Mushroom Soup , we also recommend everything else we ate on our 2 visits there
The location is ideal , a supermarket just next door ( just be prepared for very slow service at the tills) .
The square is 5 minutes walk away.
The apartment was spotlessly clean , very spacious and the heating was much appreciated as whilst we were in Krakow we had everything from snow and very, very cold , to sunshine .
Karl and Ewa could not have been more helpful , if we ever visit Krakow again we would not
stay anywhere else

Just returned from the Red Kurka. Totally agree with the the great reviews. I would recommend this to all my friends without hesitation. Great apartment in a really good location. Right next to main sq. and 5/10 mins walk from Jewish quarter. Very warm welcome by the owners who have customer service as it should be.... Excellent.

We stay in this amazing apartment, so clean and very very warm. Great location took about 10 mins to walk to main centre. We will be booking again to go back to this apartment. We stayed in the one bedroom and there is nothing to complain about. Great cheap Chinese around the corner so cheap

Red Kurka has a perfect location, within 10 minutes walk of all the major city centre tourist sights and recommended restaurants, as well as the main train station for getting to/from the airport via the express train. The only exception is the Jewish Quarter, but you can still walk there within 15 minutes, or catch a tram directly outside the apartment.

The apartment itself is set back from the main road in a courtyard, so it avoids traffic and pedestrian noise. It's well equipped for all your needs whether staying for a day or a week. We stayed in apartment C which was a generous size (for 2) and larger than it appears on website photos. It was snowing on arrival, so we appreciated the generous heat (self-controlled), and piping hot shower!

The bedroom furnishings look new and modern - the bed was perfectly comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped - helpfully there's a supermarket within 20 metres of the apartment front door on the main road, and a 24 hour supermarket within a 5 minute walk, so you can stock up on basic supplies. That said, you won't need more than milk, sugar, and breakfast, given the high quality and low cost restaurants in your immediate surrounds!

Highly recommended restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk include Pod Baranem, Pod Aniolami, Pod Wawelem, and Piwnica Pod Kominkiem.

The apartment owners Karl and Ewa are very friendly, and are never more than a text/call away if you need them for help or tourist advice.

I cannot recommend this rental enough. First of all, it's easy to find. Second, you cross the street, and you are in the Planty and are in the Old Town. The apartments are secure, immaculate, well-equipped, modern, wi-fi, flat-screen tv - you lack for nothing. Our hosts Karl and Ewa were very helpful (they provide a list of restaurants and places they recommend in Krakow) and have a wonderful antiques shop in the courtyard where the rentals are situated. Excellent value for money, would highly recommend.
