Got to say this is a real find. We went to the opera and found this place by accident. The outside is unassuming and down some steps in a cellar. However the food is up there with the best I have had in krakow. It is five min walk from the train station or ten mins from the main square. Food is fantastic in quality and up there with the best from MasterChef. A must visit. I have downloaded photo as words fail me. Mentioned I will be back and they gave me a 25% discount card valid for a month. prices are at cheaper than te main square.

We had dinner at this lovely place around the corner from the appartment we were staying in Krakow on the night we left. During our four day stay this was by far the best meal we had. The location is a nicely decorated and lit cellar about a five minutes walk from the old town. Apart from us was a only one other couple in the restaurant which was a bit awkward for a wednesday night. The friendly waitress and the owner who offered us a complimentary drink before we left soon changed this feeling. We had a three course meal with wine an ended up paying 180 zloty (about 45 euro) for both of us which we consider rather cheap even for polish standards. Each dish was elaborately done with fresh ingredients and very tasty new ideas. Back home in switzerland this kind of restaurant would soon be booked out and among the Michelin star or Gaul Millau Star candidates. We can only recommend it.

Surpising, wonderful discovery - this family-owned, fabulous spot became a place I will always come back to on my trips to Cracow! The food is fantastic (innovative, fresh, surprising and mouth-watering all in once) the ambiance is typically old-Cracow, yet without the dinginess some of the places around the Market square have. The owner greets you at the door, and recommends some of his favourite dishes. I loved the wine selection, and was abolutely impressed by the dessert menu. A little off the beaten path, this place is definitely worth the few tram stops it takes to get there from downtown!

Slightly off the beaten path around the Market Square, there's a culinary gem that you will remember forever.

The menu alone reveals what you're in for. Every single dish comes as a suprise - while the owner, when asked for recommendations, said he recommended every single one of them. And he was right - everything we had was fabulous, unexpected, delicate, rich, from the skatefish in chili tempura, through to jasmine creme brulee with exotic sorbet and mint caviar.
Also, they have the excellent Bernard beer on tap, and you can even have your dessert gilded with 24-carat gold for around 7$.

The service is smooth, friendly and professional, not a single glitch - they even wear gloves while serving the food.

This is not your run-of-the-mill restaurant, this is an adventure for the discerning tastebuds. If you just want to fill yourself with boring food, this is not the place for you, but if your soul yearns for a gourmet experience that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else, you'll love Trzy Kroki.
