Stayed here for a week 5-12/5/2012. We partly chose it because the name was so funny! Plus it fitted all our requirements and seemed a good price. I would not recommend it, it's not clean, very poor service, you can get a better deal for your money.
The rooms are ok, bearable, but there were many small problems, we moved rooms after our first night because they had put us in a room that was missing a curtain with a streetlight right outside (we arrived at 11pm and when we had realised a curtain was missing the staff were nowhere to be found!) ! They were fine about us moving the next day (we would have been happy with a curtain but I guess they have no intention of repairing this!) but didn't say sorry for there not being a curtain causing such a bad first nights sleep and were fairly rude, made us wait around for alot longer than they'd said it would take but did not apologise but acted as if we were fussy for not wanting to sleep in a well-lit room! Rooms all bearable but not very clean. They didn't change our sheets or clean the room all week! We had to ask the cleaner to give us clean towels (this was hard as we had limited polish and she spoke no english-the polish phrasebook and pointing came in handy!) and they didn't take the dirty ones away. The only thing the staff care about is getting the bill paid! Not a good nights sleep here, the pillows are terrible-very uncomfortable old cushions for a sofa not even real pillows. Mattress and other furniture fine. The shower is also not good, a cubicle with a shower curtain all the way round so the curtain is hanging half in the shower and sticks to you and the floor gets wet. The photo must be from the only nicely decorated room (we saw several other rooms when the doors were left open for cleaning and the 2 rooms we stayed in and they were all horribly decorated in very bright deep colours-even the ceilings! So you feel like the ceilings coming down on you! Our room was painted all over bright, deep orange and gave you a headache it was so ugly! some rooms had a wall with exposed brick which was nice and good wooden furniture but the effect is ruined by an entirely-one-colour walls and ceiling! Also saw rooms that were bright green/neon pink and deep purple etc.
There is not a 24 hour reception as stated this is a lie, there is a buzzer outside and a few times when I rang it (I wanted to ask for clean towels and sheet change) there was no answer. There is also no bar or restaurant below as is described in most adverts (it has been closed sometime.) Also it doesn't seem to be non-smoking as described, other guests (2 different rooms with different people) smoked so blatantly they must have been told it was ok, so the corridors stank of stale tobacco. This is a hostel for the price of a hotel! Keep looking! There must be better out there!
