Having read previous favourable reviews about KrakowTrip.com on TripAdvisor my wife and I pre-booked the following:
Airport to Hotel Wentzl transfer
Hotel Wentzl to Airport transfer
Auschwitz 1/Auschwitz II Birkenau/Wieliczka salt mines tour
We arrived at Krakow Balice airport on the 30th April 2014 and were met in Arrivals [according to Thomas] by Daniel’s father. He escorted us to his vehicle in the nearby multi-storey car park from where we were driven to the Hotel Wentzl.
On the 02nd May we were collected from the hotel by Thomas and commenced our shared Auschwitz and Wieliczka salt mines tour with two lads from Belgium. Thomas and the lads made the day trip interesting, enjoyable and fun. Bearing in mind that it was a Bank holiday and therefore exceptionally busy at Auschwitz 1, Tom arranged admission, lengthy queues were bypassed, audio WiFi equipment sourced, coloured tour stickers obtained and distributed and our tour guide found and introduced. Upon completion of the tour, we were handed back to Tom who proceeded to drive us to Auschwitz II Birkenau where he again paired us up with our tour guide. Upon completion of this tour we rejoined Tom and the lads. Tom enquired if we would prefer lunch or a snack. We all opted for a snack so Tom drove us to a café where he translated the menu and made sure that we were all happy with our selections. Tom then drove us to the Wieliczka salt mines where on arrival he again arranged admission, audio WiFi equipment and introduced us to our tour guide. Upon completion of this tour, the delights of various flavoured Polish vodka were discussed and culminated in Tom driving us to a shop where we were able to purchase large bottles of flavoured vodka for the jaw dropping equivalent of £4.00 each. After returning the lads to their hotel and as we approached the old town square where our hotel was situated, Tom drew our attention to a shop where local flavoured vodka is produced and can be sampled before purchase, Yum. Tom worked hard to ease us through three exceptionally busy venues and together with his laid back demeanour and the company of the two Belgium lads, made our day with KrakowTrip.com a memorable one.
On the 04th May we were collected from our hotel on time and delivered back to Krakow Balice airport.
