“Good value comfortable hotel”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

I stayed here with a friend in 2012. The rooms were well designed and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. It's a short walk to the tram so easy to get around.

While primarily a business hotel it suited our needs perfectly as tourists.

July 2013 was our first visit to Krakow and staying at this hotel helped greatly to our having an excellent city break. The hotel standards and staff were exceptional and we could not rate it too highly. The variety at breakfast was first class and delicious omelettes were made to order - not to mention the self made waffles ! We have several holidays annually and have stayed in many countries and the Hilton Garden was certainly up with the best. Its location about a mile of two from the main square and some other places of interest means either taking a tram from fairly close to the hotel or having a pleasant walk. All in all a great experience.

We stayed for three nights. We only have nice things to say about the hotel. We arrived at about 11.00 am. Our room was not ready, but would not expect it to be at that time of the morning. We were invited to wait in the bar and have a coffee on the house. As it was my birthday I was also treated to cake. That was a very nice touch. We were then told that if we left our case it would be taken to the room so we could go out. This worked well. all the literature said we should use a taxi to get to the town. We did this once or twice, but usually walked. It was about a 20 - 25 minute walk, but a very pleasant walk. If you wanted to take a taxi it was only about £5 each way, but most times we walked either to build up an appetite for the evening meal or to take a stroll after the evening meal. Most of the hotels seemed to be outside the City Centre and this seemed to be one of the closer ones. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was fine largely buffet style, but there was a chef/cook and you could get eggs/omlettes etc made fresh. Did not eat at the Hotel apart from breakfast and did not use any other facilities so cannot speak for those, but happy to recommend it and stay there again.

If we are in Krakow, we will only stay here! The staff is so helpful! It's a short walk to the castle and Market square, right by the bus, and a taxi is only 20 zlotty or 6 American dollars. The room are very comfortable, clean, and have a nice decor.

The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but makes up for it inside. Great rooms and of decent size, we had a twin room and had loads of space, with very nice en-suite. Hotel was spotless and reception staff were very nice. Hotel is in a very safe location with a 15 to 20 minute walk to the town square or a few minutes by taxis which are cheap. Breakfast was a buffet so eat as much as you want. Free laundry use on the 6th floor, you just need some powder so take this with you or you can buy in the lobby shop. Our room was at the front facing the busy road but we never heard the traffic due to good sound insulation, our room also looked over to the castle which was lovely. One of the best things is the adjustable beds, you can control if you like soft or hard and this works great and are amazingly comfy so had great nights sleeps. On the whole one of the nicest hotel we have stayed at, if it had a pool it would have been perfect, but there is an open air one across the road and a good 10 mins walk away, its on a barge on the river, how different. Try eating at Trezo in the Jewish quarter, very nice and also cheap!!

Room Tip: Rooms at front have views of the castle but are still quiet despite close to road

The hotel is located about a 15 minute walk from Wawel Castle and about 25 minutes from the main market square. Since there is no parking in the market square and there is literally no way to find a parking spot near the castle, it is nice to have a place nearby where you can park your car. It's a little far to run back to the hotel room, but otherwise this is a great location. We had great Internet service and a spacious room. If you are driving, the hotel is on one of the main roads leading out of Krakov. In fact, it is on the same road that you follow to get to the salt mines (about a 15 minute drive) and it also provides a great access point for Auschwitz. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. The rooms were very clean and the hotel seems to be new.

Room Tip: The third and sixth floors have ice machines.

This was my second stay here and I was again, not dissapointed. Yes, it's a short cab ride (3 minutes) to Wawel Castel and the Rynek, but unless you're adverse to this, it's not a problem. The staff at reception were great, the rooms are quite modern and functional for business or leisure travelers and the price is very reasonable. I've been to Krakow many times over the years and have stayed on the 'other side' of the Wisla River, many nice places a bit closer to the Rynek, but if you're looking for quality at a reasonable price (and not being that far away), This property is highly reccomended....!
