We did both tours, the Old Town and the Jewish quarter with Dota and she was excellent. There were over sixty people on the Old town tour and about twenty five on the second day. They last for about two hours and the guide was full of knowledge. We paid the additional fee for the guide to take us around the Schindler factory tour which was well worth the. 20 zloyts

Joined free tour Royal Krakow at 11:00 (no fee, you pay at the end if you wish and what you wish) and liked it very much. Timing and pace are great, the route is well though through. Story was interesting, funny and with jokes. At the end they shared the map with a couple of really good hints (like U Pani Stasi for pirogi, and Chimera for vegetarian stuff).

Generally i am a big fan of the free walking tours concept since i like to go on short city trips where i have only 1-2 days to explore the place. The free walking tours save you a lot of time and provide you with a lot of valuable information one cannot find on the maps. All free walking tours have the same concept where a young enthusiastic person waits every day at a particular time (usually 11 and 16 or so) at a famous meeting point in the center for people to join him/her for a city tour. One does not have to pay for the tour but can provide a tip (highly recommended). I have done already free walking tours in Sofia, Belgrade, Porto, Lisbon, and Cracow. Surprisingly although these guids only share the same concept (its not like one big organization but different individuals form a little community in a particular town who provide this service to people) they all have many other features in common - great knowledge of history, big collection of interesting legends and rumours about the places we visit, nice sense of humour, great rapport with people..As expected, our guide in Cracow was not an exception (i believe his name was Jacob?)! We loved our tour and we highly recommend it to everybody!! Surprisingly this was the tour with the biggest amount of people who joined!! Usually these tours have 5-10 people who join but in Cracow we were more like 20-30! The duration was 2,5 hours! My next free walking tour will be in Singapur in January and I cannot wait to join!

We joined Goisa in the Main Square at 11am for the City tour. She was very informative and knowledgeable, as she took us around the City pointing out the various landmarks. It is a good way to get your bearings and decide which parts you would like to explore further, on your own. As we were all cold, she introduced us to the Cinema Cafe, where we enjoyed a wonderful glass of hot chocolate, before heading out to finish the tour. We had a very enjoyable and fun tour - we recommend this tour as an introduction to the City.

I joined a debut historical walking tour of Krakow led by Jack. His English is completely fluent, and moreover, he is easy to understand. His presentation during a long tour circling the old sector centering around St Mary's Church in the Market Square and finishing at Wawel Castle was completely absorbing. Save up your questions until the end of his presentation - and see if they are still relevant! Jack possesses the innate and correct qualities of a true professional - anticipating the punters' questions and answering them within the on site presentation. Krakow has a lot to offer, and someone like Jack will increase your motivation to return.
