“Five star facilities at three star prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2012

Stayed at Bracka 6 for one night in January 2012. The location of this hotel couldn't have been better, right by the main square in Krakow where the majority of the hotels can charge anything between £80-£150 a night. Considering we've paid £57 via Booking.com, this was an absolute bargain. The location makes it very easy to locate (check out the Google maps and once in Krakow head for the main square, Bracka is one of the main streets of the city centre so pretty much anyone will point you in the right direction). The hotel itself is located on the second floor of a typical Krakow building and there's no lift so please bear that in mind! We did not have any heavy luggage and therefore did not find it too onerous to make it upstairs. The receptionist could not have been more helpful or pleasant. The apartment (their cheapest) itself was stunning, with lovely wooden floors and high ceilings. The decor was modern and simple, fitted with flat screen Philips tv, iPod docking station with radio, Nespresso machine (with 4 pods of coffee), kettle, tea and sugar, real Orchid plant, fridge and a spacious wardrobe with bathrobes, slippers, umbrella, safe and shoe polish. The bed was comfortable and big enough for two people to stretch out in it. The bathroom was simply amazing, with lovely wall paintings, heated floor and power shower. The toiletries were provided, as was a shower cap, cotton buds and tissues. Loved the fact that the shower had a mirror in it and you could tell the attention to detail and the fact that no costs were spared: the sink was Villeroy & Boch and the bin was Brabanita. We booked via Booked.com but also received a separate confirmation directly from the hotel. I emailed them to ask if they could book a taxi for us the following morning to take us to the airport which they promptly did and also confirmed straight away via email. Our stay could not have been more pleasant or trouble free and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone. Hopefully it won't get to popular though as I'm planning to return so don't want to see it sold out!

Without question, Bracka 6 is the best place to stay for a trip to Krakow.
We have just returned from getting married there (Krakow is somewhere I would recommend to anyone planning a wedding), and chose Bracka as our residence for 7 nights. We never regretted this once. Yes, you could choose nice standard hotels such as Stary or Wentzl, but these are twice the price for half the space.
Bracka is modern, clean, and truly a home from home. The facilities in the large apartment were second to none, with glasses, plates, microwave and coffee-machine, living area with nice TV, and a nice size bedroom. You wouldn't get this in the large hotels mentioned above.

With just a few steps to take to be in the main square, the location for a stay in Krakow is excellent, and the reception staff will help you arrange any trips you want to make, or indeed transport to and from the airport.
For a balanced review, I will point out that the lack of an elevator was a struggle given that the apartments are on the 3rd floor and my wife cannot pack light(!), and your should be aware that the toilet in the room is a little exposed, so be sure you are comfortable with your room-mate (a door to the toilet would not be a bad idea!), but this is the modern look they wanted to go for, and it worked for us.

Readers, choose Bracka. You won't forget your experience there, and with the money you save by not going to the Wentzl, Stary, or the other up-market hotels, you can explore the beautiful town of Krakow so much more.

Happy travels,
StanleyUK.

We have just stayed for 2 nights at Bracka 6, in one of their bigger rooms and we loved it. It was a huge room with lovely high ceilings. a super modern designed layout with a glass fronted bathroom suite and a small kitchenette area. They had Decaf Nespresso waiting for us which was nice as we were arriving late. The bed was large and comfortable too. Compared to the trendy hotels this was a great price (of course there is no room service, but who needs it when you are 2 minutes from the main square and you have your tea and coffee in your room!)
The location could not be better for the old town centre. Do not expect to lay in bed though in the mornings as the noise of rubbish trucks, builders unloading etc reverberates around the tight tall buildings and will wake you up if you look out onto the street. We did not mind as we had a busy schedule. Breakfast was had from 3 places within 20 metres of the front door. The apartment even offered to pre-book breakfast but I could not see the purpose of this?
Flat screen TV, but no SKY (unless I was being thick) so no english TV, which is the only reason for giving 4 out of 5 stars.
The staff were very good, helpful, good grasp of english language etc.
All in all, a super place to stay for business or pleasure.
You will be able to stay in cheaper places, but I very much doubt if they will be nicer!
I had a car, and it was easy to park on both nights nearby.
You are not allowed to park in the street outside the apartment as it is in the restricted zone and is only for residents, so you must park outside the zone, which is only a few metres away.

Room Tip: If you want a sleep in, ask for rooms away from the street.

As a group of friends we stayed in 3 apartments at Bracka 6. Airport transfers were arranged. Perfect location near market square. Very friendly and helpful staff, very good quality furnishings and nice little touches, tea and coffee (nespresso machine) provided.
Apartments on 3rd floor, no lift, but pleasant, wide and clean staircase.
Thoroughly recommend it.

I'm not sure if I could call this a hotel or an apartment rental. Truth is, I believe it's a boutique establishment (notice I'm not saying 'hotel') which has bought a floor of an historic building steps from the Krakow Rynek (main square), and converted the apartments into several hotel room/apartment/suites. I have to say I was amazed at the location + quality of the room + price (!!!). It is by far, a country mile, the best value I have encountered in Krakow. The service was personable and welcoming, the room was simply incredible - tastefully designed mixing modern with the traditional. Very well equipped - even with a Nespresso machine!. Interesting but very cool: breakfast was provided at a choice of one of three restaurants - two just steps away, and the third a historic landmark in the main square. We loved one of the spots that we kept going back and at other times of the day.
The room was very comfortable, the bed huge and solid. The bathroom is a bit exposed with the glass walls and all, so if this is not your thing you've been warned. If you're looking for a minibar, room service, etc. don't bother...but I think you'll regret it!
The only weakness - and in our case a minor one - is the lack of an elevator to the 2nd floor location of the reception and rooms. However, we have been told that the addition of an elevator is going to happen - coinciding with the construction of apartments on the third floor that this establishment is/has acquired.
This was one of the most memorable places I have stayed at anywhere - and by far in Krakow, much less Poland.
We had an exceptional time and can't wait to come back!

The Apartamenty Bracka 6 is located only a stone's throw away from the main old square and it is situated in a historic building on a street which is lined with some loverly cafe bars and restaurants(not the rowdy type bars)
When me and my partner arrived at Bracka 6 we had to walk a couple of flights of stairs with two suitcases because there is no elevator in the building because it is historic which might be a problem for some people but was ok with us and when we reached the reception area we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who told us the ways to let ourself's in & out of the building with a swipe card (All self contained so you can come and go as you please) was wowww!!! It was modern & very stylish but not in a cheep way it also had personnel touches like a fruit bowl with fresh fruit's a vase with fresh flowers, his & hers dressing gowns, slippers, flat screen TV and sofa
Also there was a expresso machine, wine glasses, cups cutlery bottle opener plates, cooker fridge iron board iron even a i pod dock the list go's on
Me & my partner both had to pinch ourself's we could not believe that we could stay in a place like this for the price that we had paid
We spent three nights at Apartamenty Bracka 6 and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
