We loved just wandering the open square, or sitting back and people-watching. There was always music playing somewhere and artists or dancers performing. On the hour you can see the trumpeter of Krakow playing from the windows of one of the church towers (fascinating history there). It seemed everything was beautiful, from the lamps and lights to the building facades and churches (wandering the alleys behind the churches brought even more unexpected treasures) . One evening we attended a concert in the tiny chapel of St. Adelbert's church, the oldest church in Krakow, right on the square--maybe 20 of us enjoying beautiful music, up close, for our own personal performance!
