I stayed at the Globus last week with my husband and our two friends.
We had a great time, the hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the old town and the Jewish quarter.
The hotel arranged trips for us to Auschwitz and the salt mines which were really good.
Unfortunately my friend slipped over in the snow and broke her arm, but the staff from the hotel were super helpful and kind arranging for her to go to hospital and looking after her.
In all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of doing a trip to krakow.

Stayed at the Globus for 4 nights at the end of Feb 2013.This was our 4th stay at this hotel. We had requested a particular room by email and on arrival the receptionist allocated us the exact room. Rooms are bright well heated and very clean. They were cleaned every day with water and towels replaced. The bathroom is modern with a good shower and lots of hot water. The room had tea and coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV. The breakfast is served in the cellar which also doubles as a coffee shop and a bar.Breakfast has a good selection of fruit, ham, cheeses bread jams etc. The Hotel is in an excellent location for the market square Wavel and Shindler;s Factory. All the staff from cleaners, bar staff, breakfast staff to receptionist were excellent and I would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Front rooms can be noisy due to trams but personally I prefer the front rooms but if noise would be...

We went to Poland to visit auschwitz and booked through 'escape to poland' after reading some review's.They picked us up from airport in a nice vehicle and even went out their way to find us an exchange in order to get the local currency. The hotel was nice, clean and very friendly.Although a little noisy it was not a problem and we enjoyed our stay a lot.Krackow is a lovely city and the people too.I will go back again and will go with 'escape to poland'as they make everything very stress free.Oh and eating out is very enjoyable and reasonable too.Well done Escape to Poland, and Globus rooms, if only all tour operaters were as good.

Room Tip: a little noisy at the front because of the trams, but it didnt ruin my trip

Had a two night stay at this hotel. Very clean and warm room, great location and extremely helpful and nice staff. Great breakfast too. Would certainly stay here again. A room at the back would be quieter as trams and traffic run for most of the night. The hotel is right on the street

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

We stayed at the Globus as a group of pilgrims visiting the nearby shrine to St. Faustina. The hotel was excelent, rooms clean, staff very helpful and friendly. The only downside was the noise of the trams outside if you are on the front I would recommend this hotel

Room Tip: Choose a room on the back of this hotel

Our budget for this eurotrip was slim. This hotel was the perfect fit.
The staff was really friendly and welcoming. The location was only about 10 min. walk from Market Square, about 20 from the train station. Very easy walking distance.
The room was warm (we were there in winter), the shower got hot quickly and stayed hot. The room was clean and spacious. It was equipped with an electric tea kettle, cups, and tea. The wifi connection was strong.
If you are hungry at night, at 9PM there is a sausage truck that is fabulous. walk out of the hotel, follow the sidewalk right, walk under the bridge, and you will see a blue truck grilling Polish sausage. It is about $2.50 each...you can't beat it!
The trolleys run right in front of the hotel (convenient to get around town if you don't want to walk) One thing is, you can hear the trolley each time it runs past the hotel, however, it stops around 10 PM so it was no problem for us to sleep. If you sleep early (or sleep in late) you may want another room.
The location of this hotel (near the sausage truck, market square, castle, and old Jewish area) is enough to make me stay here. The friendly staff and budget friendly rooms are a plus!
Downstairs they serve complimentary breakfast :)

Don't get your expectations high: friendly and useful staff indeed, but hotel itself was quite a disappointment: rooms are average (quite outdated furniture, shower difficult to use, not even a small refrigerator), breakfast very poor (2 types of cheese, 2 types of ham, hard boiled eggs and some jams, that's about all). Even though very well positioned (less then 10 min walk to the city center or other tourist attractions), the hotel lays in a busy street and when trams pass by the building literally trumbles. For us there was no problem, but if you are a light sleeper, I would not recommend it.
