“A bit hit and miss!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

Whilst visiting Krakow on a short New Year break we came across this restaurant which was situated just off the main market square. We visited two nights running as we had such a good meal the first evening. The atmosphere, service, food and wine could not be faulted, so we decided to book also for the following evening which was New Years Eve. However, on this occasion the experience was a let down. The waitress got our order incorrect, initally I would have put it down to language issues, but she was quite quick to accuse me in good English of ordering wrong! The meal arrived, I had the same as the previous night as it was so good, but on this occasion it was poorly presented, luke warm and tastless. After the main meal we ordered coffee, but were told if we had coffee we would be charged 30% more for the whole meal as it was after 8pm on New Years Eve, but if we didnt have it we could pay at just the normal price, so we left without the coffee. I appreciate it was New Years Eve and the restaurant was quite busy and they probably wanted the table but felt let down after the previous evenings good experience.

“Great value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

I was in one in Florianska street - really nice experience. Food was great and portion generous, i didn't have to wait long and value is simply great for that overpriced street. I had black see sallad, eggplant roll and charcio soup. Everything was really tasty. Our waiter looked a bit lost (maybe because of language barrier) and when our friend joined waiter didn't ask if he wants anything but that's only quirks.

“Good atmosphere, average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

We had seen this place in the daytime as we strolled around the old town. Thought we'd try it for dinner. Good warm, welcoming atmosphere. Hearty Georgian food. Good value Georgian wine.

Huge spicy soup to start, which left little room for the even larger main. We tried a pork kebab and a duck special. Both large portions, but average food. Duck still on the bone and overlooked. Pork meat ok. Far too much to eat. Would have preferred less food with more finesse, but this was the nature of the food in Krakow in our experience.

Service was fine and the location is handy, just off the main square.

“Just Awful”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012

We should have known better when there was a street towt trying to entice us in however we figured we would give it a go - it looked kind of cosy. I wish we hadn't bothered - the drinks order for 2 was incorrect the whole meal from start to end was 35 minutes as after having taken 2 mouthfulls of our starter our main arrived and was plonked at the side to go cold or eat faster. I suppose you pay for what you get and as the whole 2 courses and drinks only cost 64 zloty including compulsary 10% service charge (£13) some would say you shouldn't complain but there are much better places in the old town for just the same price. Our advice - don't go!

“Best Avoided”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

Very disappointing meal and the service is poor. On arrival our waitress was surly and I know there are pressures and a language barrier but a little effort would be nice, the ability to take a drink order for two people and get it right would be nice also. The food is very, very poor, I know previous reviewers have stated the restaurant was cheap and affordable but it's a false economy if the food is almost inedible and the plate has been packed out and filled with chips, cabbage and coleslaw. The accompanying salad was dreadful and stale, the duck was overlooked and stringy and the pork kebab had no flavour, had never seen any type of marinade and was completely solid, it was a test of strength to get it off the skewer. There are dozens of restaurants in this area of Krakow, take your money elsewhere, a kebab of the street stall would be superior.
