What a great 4hr+ experience. Collected from apartment by Maciek in the Trabant for drive to Nowa Huta.
Maciek was a brilliant guide with a great sense of humour. It was fascinating to hear about life under communism, it’s is difficult to believe it only ended in the 1990’s. The tour was better than we expected and would recommend the longer 4 hr trip including lunch in the “ milk bar” and visit to the typical apartment of the era.
Thank you Maciek for a very informative and entertaining trip.

We were picked up from our hotel by Antek and Adrianna(hope I have spelt their names properly). They had a old Trabant and a old Lada which were our cars for the tour. The Trabant was very noisy but it was great fun to be in and Adrianna was a EXCELLENT tour guide, we ladies were in this car and the men were in the Lada with Antek. We were taken to many interesting places, tasted the local Vodka and got really interesting info about how things used to be. We had lunch in the Milky Bar which served Polish dishes which were all delicious, especially the Beetroot Soup. We were also taken to a flat that was just like it would have been way back in the day. Lots and lots to see and hear about Poland and we highly recommended if you go to Kraków to book this tour( especially with this lovely pair ).

I took a group of 35 people to Krakow and without the help of crazy guides it would have been very difficult. Jakub organised airport transfers, Auschwitz tour and the icing on the cake, the communist tour. My group were absolutely amazed at the Trabant cars, the 1950's coach and the traditional dumplings and beer dinner. The guides were really friendly, funny, were game for a laugh and very informative. Couldn't have done it without you guys! Well done to all of you.

Adriana was our wonderful driver and guide. She is so energetic. A great source of information. This is a unique opportunity to experience Krakow during the Cold War period. The car is so much fun. Authentic apartment is available to tour from the Communist times. A nice lunch at a working Milk Bar which locals still use in Nowa Huta. I can't recommend this more.

We were picked up at our apartment by Adriana in an Trabart car (a experience and thrill) on our way to Howa Nuta Stalins communist town. It was built for the workers of the steel mill. It was an insight into communism and the propaganda t get people to live and work there. Adriana was very informative and knowledgeable about communism. She took us to an apartment and shop of the era which was very interesting including the vodka and gherkins. Her parents and Grandparents remember the era well so she had plenty of knowledge and interesting tales to relate to us. A trip that is different and well worth taking
