“Best night sleep in Poland”
Reviewed October 10, 2011

Nice classic hotel with lots of marble in the staircases, a diverse and varied free breakfast, soft bed (or was it the jet-lag?) and a knowledgeable staff.

They were very considerate of our odd hours coming and going, made getting around the city a snap and genuinely cared about our enjoyment of Krakow.

Room Tip: I'd say the double rooms are best in size from an American sensibility. Of course their are twin...

A nice friendly hotel in a great location a mere 10-15 min walk to the main square. The staff couldnt do enough for you and it was great value for money.consider an upgrade which is worth the slight additional cost. No safe but valuables are secure in sealed envelopes behind reception in the main safe.
Breakfast choice is good and plentiful buffet style. would reccommend this hotel

Room Tip: book a deluxe room the basic ones are clean but small.

As the name suggests, the hotel is really retro style, but with very friendly staff and spacious rooms. Good location near downtown, and just fifteen minutes walk from the train station. Good and abundant breakfast. No safe box in the room: you must leave your values at reception. When we go back to Crakov, surely we will be guests of this hotel.

The staffs are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good. We stayed in a 3-bed room, which is not very spacious. But it is very clean. Quite close to the train station and the city center. There is air conditioning in the room. A little expensive, I think. I stayed there only because of the air conditioning, which is not available in many other hotels.

Four brilliant nights at the Old Time Hotel. On booking, the hotel staff contacted me by email to confirm details and to see if I had any questions. They gave me information about travelling to the hotel and the best way to visit attractions that I wanted to see - first class service! On arrival we were welcomed into the hotel and shown to spotlessly clean rooms. The whole experience was exceptional. OK, the TV only has BBC World News in English, but we didn't go to watch the TV - it was only on for 1/2 hour before going out in the morning. There was more than enough to eat at the buffet style continental breakfast and it set us up for most of the day. As others have mentioned there is not a great deal to do (bars & restaurants) in the vicinity of the hotel, but the town centre is only a 15min walk away and, although we didn't use them, I am sure a taxi would only have been a few pounds if you don't fancy the walk. There are a number of off-licences (Alkohole shops {yes the spelling is correct!}) on the way to the hotel and the staff were happy to let us drink our purchases in their little 'sun-trap' courtyard at the rear of the hotel. The hotel is clean, tidy and comfortable; its decor is quite 'quirky', but we liked it. Would we use it again? - when we go back to Krakow (and we certainly will) I would initially look for something inside the old city walls just to save 10 mins walking, but I think the Old Time Hotel's comfort and welcoming atmosphere would be difficult to find and it would certainly be more expensive the closer you got to town

Just returned from Krakow - and stayed in this hotel with friends. The exterior of the hotel and street are not exceptional but the inside makes up for it. The rooms are very spacious with a bedroom and lounge area. Furnishing, drapes and bed linen all co-ordinate beautifully.. Good bathroom with a really good powerful hot shower and we found it to be really quiet and peaceful after the bustling Krakow city centre. Breakfast served in ornate dining room with pristine white table cloths - good selection of cereals, yoghurts, cold meal and cheese plates and with hot options. Staff all very friendly and helpful with excellant English (very necessary as Polish language to hard to master.)
Would suggest that a taxi from the airport is best option to this hotel although it is walkable from the railway station. Hotel is about 15 minutes walk from main square and tourist areas. We would definately recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you want to stay in - you can order a meal
