Spent 2 nights at the Citi-Hotel in Kielce on business. Rooms clean, comfortable. Breakfast was voluminous -- plate of cold meats, cheese, salad, plus scrambled eggs, yogurt, and fruit. Staff very pleasant. Sadly, the swimming pool was closed for maintenance at the time, so I couldn't sample it!
Date: 6th October 2007
We were visiting relatives in Kielce and as we'd never been there
before we thought we would book a hotel for our three day stay. This new development is shown on the web site as two star: but it was smarter & with better facilities than most of the 3 star hotels we stayed at later in our trip! When book hotels over the web (& in this
case with no info on TripAdvisor) you can often get far less than shown on the web. Not the case here, the room (standard double) had two comfy armchairs, a big TV and a lovely double bed. You came into the room into a hallway with big clothes cupboard then left past the armchairs into the main bedroom. This was a "corner" room & had a huge patio/balcony window which ran the whole length of the room & needed FOUR sets of curtains to cover them up - and obviously the room came with a nice balcony. Our 1st evening we needed to iron some clothes - an Iron & ironing board were soon provided by the receptionist.
The Hotel is part of the new "Citi" complex, housing a ground floor Japanese restaurant, upstairs swimming pool, jacuzzi & sauna & 1st floor family restaurant (doubles up as the Breakfast room). Included with the standard room price was the use of pool, jacuzzi & sauna up til 10am every day!
The Hotel is on a street which has been pedestrainised in the middle,
so there is very little traffic outside, especially at night and looks out onto the start of Kielce's lovely town centre park (which has a lovely big duck pond/lake with a big fountain) & avenues of trees & flower gardens. An ideal after breakfast stroll (& the breakfast was nice in a very relaxed atmosphere).
The Hotel is 5mins in a taxi from Kielce Main train station, & only 9mins on foot.
Overall we had a lovely stay at the Citi-Hotel Kielce and would recommend it to anyone we know.
