We booked the History Package which was a great deal. It included the room, all meals at the Polish restaurant (did not include the Italian restaurant), polish vodka tasting, entrance tickets to the both Auschwtz and Birkenau museums and the Jewish museum, and shuttle to all locations. They also sent a shuttle to pick us up from the airport, but it was 220 pln. The staff was very helpful at arranging everything. I had a massage at the wellness center and the price was pretty inexpensive. The spa area was so nice and relaxing I wished we brought swimsuits to use the Jacuzzi. The food at the Polish restaurant was really good and the breakfast was also typical Polish which I really didn't care for, but they had a large variety and good coffee. We left early in the morning to catch the train to Krakow before breakfast was served so they packed us a "lunch box" to take and even brought us coffee in the lobby. Very considerate staff! I highly recommend this hotel, but next time I would upgrade to the superior rooms because the room we had was only average.

Room Tip: Upgrade to superior rooms.

One Stop Hotel Stay...
Large hotel / Spa Resort type Hotel.
Very Impressive place. Standard Rooms are comfortable.
Has a choice of restaurants from Pub to Upmarket Retaurant all on site and of course Spa and Massage.
Lovely place to return to after the horrific visits to Auschwitz and Birkenau museums.
Good WiFi and on site parking available.

Highly recommend to stay.

Found this hotel online and it had some great reviews so we booked it sight unseen. We were not disappointed. Staff were welcoming, room is great, quiet, clean, modern. Free wi-fi, good tester aunt. We tried the Polish one, but there is also an Italian restaurant as well. Breakfast was great, close to town, and extremely well priced. You can't go wrong staying here.
The only downer- the towels need some softener added to the rinse cycle.

Everything about this hotel is awesome! A trip advisor reviewer recommended upgrading to superior room in the new building and they were right on target. They are serious about their service and if you have the smallest of questions or problems they will address it immediately.
The A/C works as it should.... not like typical in Europe where you can only cool room to 75. It is quiet & efficient.
We had a traditional meal in the Italian restaurant and sat outside because it was a little warm & musty inside and we didn't want to be near a smoker. The worst part was it did get pretty chilly towards the end of our meal. We didn't know they had blankets if we had just spoken up.
We wish there was a way to have a non-smoking side outside in the restaurant. We sat down at one table away from most with a nice view. Shortly after ordering two people sat down at the table about 10' or so away and the breeze brought their smoke to us so we moved to an area free of smokers, but that was short-lived, too. Having to deal with cigarette smoke was the only unpleasant part of the meal.
Everything was excellent and so was the service.
If you are going to visit Auschwitz and the Salt Mine, spend a night or longer here before staying in Krakow to visit it.

We booked this hotel because of TripAdvisor recommendations.....and SO glad we did!!!!! We received a third floor room overlooking the courtyard. It was HUGE with a living area and lots of space! The beds were two comfortable twins, which we simply pushed together. (Much like you find throughout Europe). The bathroom was very clean and comfortable. Only negative comment would be softer towels would be nice! The breakfast was a huge buffet with lots of yummy offerings....I mean lots!! In any major city, this hotel would be triple the cost. The location to Auschwitz makes this an ideal location for a visit to this historical location. Wish we could have stayed longer at the Galicja but had to continue on our way.

Room Tip: Per the previous recommendations, we were prepared to ask for a room in the new wing. However, they...

Traveling with my teen son to WWII sights we stayed two nights at this spa resort as we visited Auschwitz. It was the only "unknown" of the trip, but it turned out to be more than what we expected. Rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed. The front desk was more than accommodating (we only brought enough clothes for 8 days and were 7 days into a two week trip. they were able to find someone to do our laundry and have it back the next morning before we left. It wasn't cheap, but well worth it) and the breakfast choices for the continental seemed endless. They had two restaurants and a spa, both with reasonable prices. We each enjoyed a standard massage, the dry and wet saunas and the cold "hot tub". It was a nice break during our exhausting travels up to that point. It was very close to Auschwitz and very convenient. We rented a car in Wroclaw and drove to Oswiecim returning the car at the Krakow airport parking garage. We paid less for this hotel than an average hotel in the bigger cities.
