We stayed here in June 2011 and had our wedding in the hotel.
The hotel was just getting the spa built.
We had our party down in the cellar area - it was amazing. The hotel did a magnificent job on the decorating and the staff were absolutely lovely.
We spent there two nights with our family staying longer.
We booked out the hotel for the event.
The food in teh restaurant was very good. The rooms very clean and spacious. The graden was beautifully landscaped.
I would recommend it to anyone.

Our tour group stayed for two nights at this interesting hotel, where I was given a small, ‘attic-style’ double room, with a small, awkwardly-shaped bathroom (clearly, all the rooms were distinctive in one way or another, depending on where they had been fitted into the old building). Indeed, some rooms were located in a number of (newish?) cottages/villas located in the grounds to the rear of the main building. The hotel grounds were landscaped, with paths, steps, small bridges and BBQ areas. The spa was located to the rear of the grounds in a separate new building, with a nice-looking swimming pool in the basement. My room had no A/C and the no English language channels on the TV. I didn’t see a lift, so access to floors other than the main one will be difficult for some. The restaurant, in the basement, had comfortable bar attached, served a good continental breakfast and a good evening meal. It’s a short walk (less than 5 mins) into the village centre, where there a one or two stores, and the Kaiser’s old stables & palace (now largely unused and partly derelict) are a few minutes further on.

Great place, lovely people, fantastic spa. Unfortunately restaurant drags the place down. Great food but very long waiting time and small choice of meals. No vegetarian option at all.
Also bar is shut at 22:00
