Looking for a last minute 4 night break in Gdansk, we chose the PURO, and upon arrival (15 minute cab ride from the station) we arrived at the pedestrianised street, the hotel was a few yards up the road.
First impressions, the lobby and check in was inviting, friendly staff, the decor is modern contemporary with cool seating areas and a complimentary guest coffee machine behind check in ( which was a great place to plan our site seeing) we booked a twin, PLUS room. We were on the 6th floor overlooking the river, the room is well appointed. Bed comfy. Shower interesting design and style over function, but a good old fashioned curtain overcomes the glass walls. I can imagine some would find this off putting, if sharing with a friend as we were.
The roof top bar - am awesome place to chill and admire the view of the city. Great selection of wine, potent cocktails and attentive staff.
The Dancing Anchor restaurant, great staff, grab a booth style corner seat and people watch. Food was amazing, really tasty and of high quality.
We already checked out the other locations of the hotel chain and are planning our trip to Krakow. Would definitely book the PURO again, and revisit beautiful Gdansk. More
