I have stayed at three different hotels in Gdansk. The Hilton is the clear winner. It overlooks the scenic river and walkway in downtown. Rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff is courteous and helpful.
Room service is quick and typical Hilton quality. Morning breakfast was self-serve, but courteous wait staff attended to coffee and tea.
Parking is beneath the hotel and is quite expensive (100 PLN/day). But the car was always warm and convenient each morning so I just figure the charge into the daily cost of the room.
Car travel time to the airport is about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. So location is convenient.
From the hotel, be sure to walk the river bank and go up "Neptune" street. It's a great walk, morning, afternoon, or evening.
