Nice hotel at a fair price. The location is very good and the hotel has great facilities. I woluld say it's a good choice. The roof top bar / lounge was great and a must to visit on a warm and sunny day!

A treat to spend four nights at this hotel. We accepted the invitation to upgrade at a reduced rate to a room with a view of the river. Well worth every penny. Spacious room, great service. We were able to walk to concerts, the old restored town, etc. Perhaps being April, the streets along the river were empty, so all very quiet. Breakfast was abundant, but lacked a local flavor as the Hilton in Sofia or in Romania. With an early departure, the kitchen prepared a "breakfast to go" for each of us which we enjoyed during our train ride to the next destination.

Room Tip: Upper floor, room with a view of the river is very worthwhile

Gamster and I spent 3 nights at the Hilton Gdansk and couldn't really fault it.
Check-in was smooth and efficient. The rooms spacious clean and modern. Big beds, lovely bathrooms, mini bar and a good choice of teas and coffees. Gamster would of enjoyed a biscuit or two though 
Breakfast was superb with a wide choice of foods to cover all tastes.
The bar area was a tad pricey but that’s to be expected and the bar on the top floor offers amazing views down the river.
Gdansk can be covered easily on foot and nowhere is far away so location in terms of distance was great and to be on the river is a bonus.
Gdansk is an ideal couples city weekend break and the Hilton Gdansk compliments it perfectly as a base for your stay.

Stayed for 3 nights. Free upgrade given to a huge room overlooking the river - spotless and extremely comfortable. Good choice of food at breakfast and no complaints about quality. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. I thought I had lost my credit card after checking in - they even sent a staff member to retrace my steps and to help me search my room!! Make sure to check out the roof top bar and balcony area for a drink with a view. Would definitely recommend.

I had aterrific saty at the Hilton in Gdansk. There were very couteous staff and the facilities were of exceptional quality.
The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was in pristine condition. The internet service was very speedy. The breakfast was ample and something was available for all dietry types.
Well done to Hilton Gdansk for making us all feel welcome.

I was given an upgrade when I arrived and this was without asking for it. The view of the river with moored Ships was beautiful from my room.

Room Tip: I really was taken back by the service and superb quality offered by Gdansk Hilton Hotel. It was a b...

The Hilton Gdansk apparently recently won an award as the best Hilton in Europe, and by and large I think it is merited (certainly it was a big step up from the last Hilton I stayed in, in Zurich). We stayed for a week at the start of April, travelling with my wife and 3 kids (ages 7, 4 and 1), in a Hilton Suite. As a Gold member I was hoping for an upgrade to the presidential suite this time (last time we stayed, the President of Poland showed up...), but guess someone else got there first. Even so, we had little to complain about - the suite, which faces the river, was very spacious with a giant living room with its own WC and a separate bedroom with large ensuite bathroom. Unusually for a hotel room, there was plenty of storage space for all of us. Our two older kids shared the double sofa bed in the living room, the baby had a cot in the bedroom. One oddity is that while they are happy to provide a cot with sheets, they don't provide any cot-sized blankets, so remember to pack the baby-gro. (They also don't have cot pillows, at least officially, but there were plenty of cushions the right size.) Also, if you like a soft bed, be warned - the mattresses are firm almost to the point of hardness. Very good for my back, no doubt, but it took a good few days for me to get used to it.

The swimming pool, while fairly small, is superbly positioned on the top floor overlooking the old town, with a terrace for warmer days (or for the brave). The sauna and steam room were among the hottest I have have experienced - no doubt for the benefit of the many Scandinavians who seem to compromise most of the clientele of the hotel.

The only area where I think the hotel could improve is housekeeping. The rooms were always clean, however they were somewhat erratic when it came to providing enough towels, toiletries and drinking water, or in providing an evening turndown. Also they have a rather odd policy of not cleaning or changing any used crockery or glassware - so used teacups and glasses will just sit around until you ask them to be changed. That said, it only took a phone call and more towels, water or glasses would be provided straight away. All in all a minor quibble, but one which should be easy to fix.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room overlooking the river
