“Solid 4* hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

Located by the Motlawa River near Old Town of Gdansk. All of the main attractions of the city are within walking distance,Green Gate,Long Market Square with fountain of Neptun and other hanzeatic style buildings such Artus Court as well as medieval port crane called Zuraw.
Main railway station about 1,5 km from the hotel itself.
Rooms well maintained very clean with LCD screens and WiFi free of charge.
B-fast good, cold cuts-meat and cheese, fresh vegi and fruits, cereals, delicious polish bread.
The fastest way to reach Lech Walesa Airport is by taking taxi booked in advance otherwise there are two other options by public busses. Rout 210 from Gdansk Glowny(Main Station) or rout 110 from Gdansk-Wrzeszcz where you need to get by local SKM train from Gdansk Glowny.
I see quite a few comments that price for rooms is a bit too high, well rooms rate are vary from 50GBP up to 70GBP with bfast included(60-80euro) I don't rally find it overpriced.Would recommend this hotel especially for city break.

I've stayed in this nice hotel during my last business trip to Gdansk and really liked it.
Spotless clean, located very close to the center of Gdansk, lovely view, comfortable room with free internet, helpful and friendly staff, tasty breakfast and nice restaurant downstairs. Highly recommended!

just found this gem on the 6th trip to poland, normally stay at novotel (this is far better), room spotlessly clean, reception staff extremely helpful and friendly (especially the smart young man with perfect command of english), even to the point of tracking down a very hard to find gift for my polish friend :) with directions and a map of how to get there :), will be staying here again, hopefully soon :)

only one little niggle, no coffee or tea in room ? thought this would have been standard, they do provide 2 free bottles of mineral water which is good but coffee would have made it perfect :)

Nice hotel just across the river from the Old Town. Clean bed, high-quality shower, free internet - all one needs as a business traveler.

The restaurant is quite good as well though I didn't get to try their breakfast. My working day started at 5am while breakfast is only available from 7am. They were very kind to pack a lunch-box, which included two sandwiches, yoghurt and some other stuff.

One thing to note is that they give a login/password for your wi-fi. It only works for one device, so if you have several devices you want to connect you have to ask for as many codes as the number of devices you have. It's free of charge, just a bit inconvenient.

+ close to the old town (though to get there you need to cross a short tunnel under the street which doesn't really look welcoming...)
+ tasty food, nice selection at breakfast
+ clean room & bathroom
+ nice view on the river from the dinning room
- our room location: while ordering through the hotel's website I asked for a high floor room (with a king bed) as I wanted to have a view on Gdańsk. During the check-in we were told that the only possible room with a king bed is at the last floor. It turned out to be rather an attic than a typical room with straight walls. The windows were close to the celing and to see something from the window you need to stand on your bed or jump up... So if you get a room like this, forget about a sunny, bright room with any kind of view from the window- unless you are over 2 metres tall or enjoy standing on you bed...
- the internet is slow, and it's impossible to use google, gmail or youtube...
- it's next to a busy street so you can hear the noise from the street
In my opinion you can have a better hotel in Gdansk and pay the same price.

This was our third trip to Gdańsk, and each time we've stayed in a different hotel. While the rooms are clean, but the carpet in the rooms and the hallway is filthy - not normal wear, countless big stains. The traffic outside is loud, and the view, even with the river is nothing to speak of, considering the view you'd have a little closer to town. The hotel hosts tour buses, and the staff are not trained to handle their sometimes mob-like behavior. I have to disagree with a previous reviewer who called this a 4 star hotel, 3 at best. There is no coffee/tea service in the rooms. There is no hotel bar. The hotel gym is poorly equipped, much of the equipment not working. The staff doesn't turn on the sauna, and it takes an hour to heat up. But they do have a boat and offer a free river tour.
