Nice Hotel with SPA & Micro brewery (Beer) . The room in the old part above the bar/restaurant can be a bit noisy and warm. Walking distance to city center. No complaints, must be one of the best hotels in Gdansk.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new part ( Building on the back)

We stayed here for one night (New Year's Eve) The weather in Gdansk wasn't bad, but it was good that the hotel was so close to the centre.
The hotel was clean, modern and friendly - and extremely warm inside! The staff were very helpful and efficient, breakfast was nice with a good selection & nice coffee.
We stayed in the old bit, the room was high up looking over the back (I am sure the rooms overlooking the harbour have nice views), had a comfy large bed and a lovely bathroom.
All in all it was extremely good value.
1 point knocked off for the slightly disorganised new years eve dinner, plus the home brew beer wasnt to my taste at all (although my wife thought it was ok)

Stayed 4 nights in January for a winter break. Hotel Gdansk was wonderful, highly recommended. Had a standard room which was beautiful, well kept and clean. Although the temperature outside was -12c the hotel was lovely and warm. Excellent hot/cold buffet breakfast, lovely bars - one in the original building and one in the new building. Live entertainment a few times a week. The hotel is situated on the edge of the old town about a 5/10 minute walk.Well deserved 4 star rating and better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed at. Fantastic rate with Gala Hotels was a bonus.

Very impressive hotel with excellent staff who helped in every way to make stay as comfortable as possible. The restaraunt within the micro brewery served fantastic food in a superb atmosphere. Situated in the newly developed marina area it's only 5 mins walk from the centre of the old town.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Hotel Gdansk. The first time, I could not fault the hotel. This time, I booked a double room and was given a single room. I was rather tired and so wondered if the hotel was full and so did not question this. It turned out that the hotel was not full.
I went into the restaurant but found that there was a private Xmas party in swing. I went down to the bar/restaurant and sat at one of the tables. 20 minutes later I still had not been served. I have worked in Poland and this is usual in some places but not in the Hotel Gdansk.
Eventually, I became vocal and was served with food and a drink.
The room was very hot and I could smell the breakfast being cooked due to the location.
The room staff were very pleasant as were the Reception staff.
My experience at Hotel Gdansk was very unusual as previously I could not fault the hotel in any way. Hopefully this was just a glitch.

Room Tip: If you book a double room then demand a double room

I stayed here in November with my husband for a weekend break. I booked a double/twin however emailed prior to arriving to request a double room. On arrival check in was helpful as we were informed we were to stay in the new yacht section where the bell boy escorting us through a separate reception and then into our room. We were very impressed with the apartment style room as it had the requested double as well as a huge comfortable separate living room as well as balcony overlooking the river at the front (came in hadn't to keep our pre purchased bottles of beer over the weekend due to cold weather!). The room also had 2 toilets which are handy for a couple, the shower was huge and fab to use with it being a power shower.
We used the spa facilities daily later in the evening was also great and very relaxing. The steam bath, Finnish sauna and a salt cave are if a good standard along with a few quirky showers. The relaxation area was good also which offered herbal tea, dried fruit and ice cold water to enjoy on the comfy recliners or the heated tiled coves.
We stayed in a bed and breakfast basis and found the breakfast had a great selection of fruits, cold meats, cheeses and cooked bacon/eggs which where tasty and enjoyable.
The hotel bar/microbrewery is one of our favorite bars which does one of the best beers in gdansk in a cosy setting. The staff were attentive and friendly and the surrounding lovely and relaxing with live musicians some nights.
When we stayed there was busing works in the next building however this didn't really bother us much, a little nosey on the Saturday morning however Sunday is a day if rest and no builders in sight. I would definitely recommend this hotel and am hoping the visit again next year in the same hotel. We have stayed previously in a large chain hotel which lacks value for money and originality, hotel gdansk ticks all the boxes for us! Great stay and great memories made!

This is a beautiful unique hotel in the boutique style. Our room was very spacious with a lovely old town view but the well equipped bathroom was almost as large with a similar fantastic view.
The breakfast was overwhelming - cant think of anything that was unavailable.
My friends in a second room had a kitchen facility too.
This is a superb hotel at a budget price.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Hotel Gdansk is the best boutique hotel in the Tricity and a true flagship hotel of Gdansk. Uniquely situated by the picturesque yacht marina, in the heart of the city, the hotel is often recognized as a special place in the city center. The hotel has two synergic components - a granary from the XVIIIth century, restored with great attention to detail, enchanting with its elegance and history, and the Yachting part, whose modern decorating themes infuse the interiors with a sea-inspired look. Thus, the fascinating history and traditions of the city of Gdansk are strongly present in the both parts of Hotel Gdansk. The Spa in Hotel Gdansk is one of the most modern and fashionable Spas at the Baltic coast, and one of the best Med Spas in Poland.Hotel Gdansk Restaurant is an unusual restaurant in a unique place. It serves exquisite dishes of Polish and Gdansk regional cuisine. The mini-brewery is a great addition to the boutique complex and a very interesing attraction for Hotel Gdansk guests, who may here try the best beer in Poland. Our Schwarzbier (dark beer) received this title during the prestigious beer contest in Zywiec 2011. There is always someting interesting happening in our brewery. At least 3 times a week you can enjoy live music. ... more   less
