“Nice hotel at city center”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2012

I spend a weekend in Mamaison hotel. Hotel service was very good, food was on very high level with professional staff. Romm was clean. Bed was very soft for me. Very good - I think the best location at city center, close to Stodolní street. Spa is available, but we didn´t use it. Parking a front of hotel. Hotel was standard four star hotel. Very good value.

Thank you for taking the time and giving us your positive feedback. Please next time do not hesitate and contact the reception desk. Hotel disposes of tough mattresses that are available on request. Before your next stay please let us know your wish concerning the sleeping during the reservation and we will be happy to make your bed to your maximum satisfaction.

With best regards

I had a chance to spent two weekend nights (FRI-SUN) in the hotel with participation in a conference. The Hotel is located in quiet zone in the city centre, just beside the main square. As welcome surprise I was upgraded to the higher room type category including complimentary internet, which was very nice. Room was large, comfortable, quiet during the night. The breakfast exceeded my expectations with it´s variety, wide range of dishes. I also had a chance to try relax centre including swimming pool with salt water and sauna, good relax after my bussy day. The conference facilities were also very good. For all this reasons I would definitely return.

Hotel is not a luxury place to stay, but also because of staff and location i can recommend. Rooms are typically in socialistic style but clean and comfortable. Parking underground is dangerous for long cars - limusine. Prices are adequeate to quality of food and services.

I read below displayed review just before my stay at the hotel Imperial and was little afraid what I can expect there . My feeling from the stay was absolutely opposite - excelent staff, es svislý at the reception very welcoming and profesional. The room was very nice, not too bit, but clean with very comfortable queen size bed. The breakfast in the restaurant was marvellous, lots of choice and all fresh was prepared by smiled cook.
Hotel has a very convenient location, right in the city centre and only a short walk to Stodolni street (is it sortu seeing -especially Desperado bar)
Overal, I really enjoyed my stay there in Imperial and will come back in August to visit PGA Czech open.

I appreciate the obvious efforts of the PR team of the hotel to boost their community reviews and recommend people to book higher room categories to receive better services. However when I book a 4star hotel - I expect 4star quality and service standards also in the standard room! In this hotel this is not the case! On top you have to pay for everything extra - parking, internet,.... everything comes for an extra charge. The standard rooms are very small and are screaming for some renovation! You can still smell the communist times in the rooms - same for the corridors. In case you go for a room upgrade, parking and internet - you easily pay double the price you would pay in other 4star hotels in the city.
The breakfast is served in one of the two restaurants. When you arrive you will be greated by the cook who is running his egg station in the middle of the restaurant - spreading the smell all over the place. Above the breakfast buffet you will find one of the electric devices attracting instects with a special light and killing them with an electrical shock. The device obviously is working pretty well, as you find a nice display of dead instects just above the breakfast selection.
The hotel offers two restaurants which close in the late evening. In case you want to have a drink or little snack at a later hour - you won't find any offer in the hotel! No lobby bar - again no 4star standard at all! The receptionist explained to me that there are plenty of bars around the hotel, but first of all they are mostly kind of casinos and secondly as a single travelling woman this is not an option for me.
The staff was quite ok, however they seem to be a little but frustrated about the obvious defects of their workplace.
If you need to stay in the city centre and the other hotels are booked... go for it, but otherwise this hotel is to be avoided.
