“Warm, friendly and comfortable”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Excellent location on the edge of the main shopping centre and opposite the Castle. Very comfortable bed (though the single bedrooms are a little bit of a tight fit!) and all amenities including coffee making, a safe (free - Spanish holiday hotels please note!!!). Warm, cosy and quite in the room, though the bar and lobby area are a hive of activity and can get raucus. Excellent choice for breakfast and I have experienced worse service in much grander establishments - the staff on reception and in the bar were more than helpful, and I don't know who does their washing but my shirts came up a treat. As for value for money, having stayed in London just a week before, four nights plus laundry and a few drinks were little more than one night in London. Only a few minutes walk into town and restaurants, bars and cafes abound 0 the choice is staggering. Nice hotel, nice city, nice people - what more can you ask for?

Room Tip: The rear of the hotel does not offer views, but is away from the main highway at the front which can...

The hotel is clean, but hotel rooms are old fashioned. The continental breakfast is good. The location is perfect. Staff is helpful but slightly arrogant and not over friendly.
The quality of the hotel is reasonable compared to other European Best Western Hotels, but not Hilton like (which is fine). For a Czech Best Western hotel they are overcharging. This type of pricing is expected in Paris not in Czech. More competition is needed.

The hotel has a very good location - right downtown behind the main square.
I stay there once a month, so I got used to it by now.
On the outside it looks like an old building from 70s or 80s but inside it's quite nicely redone.
However, the rooms are quite old.
The shower has a bathtub with a shower screen which is not very helpful, there is usually water around bathroom everywhere.
The Wi-fi tends to be slow and has bad reception in some of the rooms.
If your room is facing south (Husova street or main entrance), keep in mind that there are trams running on that main street and can be loud (if you're a light sleeper), but the view is definitely nicer than the N facing rooms.
The breakfast is good, lots of choices, but as they have an "open kitchen" for eggs and omletes, the restaurant really has a certain smell and so will your clothes after the breakfast. I never wear the same clothes as going to work.
I think the price is overrated for this hotel.
Staff is nice.

Room Tip: Choose facing South if you want a nicer view, but could be noisy with window opened. I would go fo...

Really great hotel, nice rooms (get the king bed one, since the singles can be quite small), very clean, quiet and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is also great, in walking distance (3-5 min) from the old town, where one can find numerous bars and restaurants. Wifi worked perfectly too. Be sure to book a spa treatment in advance as they seem to be fully booked if called on short notice (24 hour notice)

Best Western hotels all around the world have one plus: there are no surprises. Clean and nicely appointed rooms, air condition, friendly staff, comfort after all day of work. If I travel alone on business I prefer Best Westerns. Familiar surroundings, furniture an room layouts keep me feeling I am a familiar place and thus almost home. This one in Brno just fulfilled all my expectations and I'll be returning here again and again.

(Writing for my Parents) This hotel was brilliant. The staff were amazing and polite, helping where they could. Didn't want to get out of the shower it was so powerful and hot. The food was super, especially breakfast and it's vastness. Cleaner's were great and it was all spotless
Could not fault it at all. Brilliant stay, would stay there again
