We got in late from Prague for a one night stay on our way to Budapest. The exterior of the hotel looked old and only a few lights were turned on in the rooms. It was obvious that there were few occupants.
Upon check in, and when we entered the room, it was not that bad at all. we had a comfortable sleep and breakfast was good. The location was excellent. We had a 2 hour walk around the city highlighted by a visit to the cathedral of St. Peter and Paul and the City Center. Too bad the Spilberk castle was closed on the Monday. Brno is small and less touristy compared to Prague.
This Hotel seems to be newly renovated. This must have been Brno's best hotel a long time ago as pictures of a young Queen Elizabeth and other important people could be seen on the lobby wall.
