The concept is simple. While the whole of Europe is getting overcrowded with Kebab-places this place offers the most prominent greek fast food dish - Gyros - and a very good and authentic one we should say. Grilled meat strips with tzatziki and fries wrapped in a Greek Pita flatbread, it can't get any more Greek than that. The fact that the pita bread seems to be bought frozen at Makro wholesale stores (I've spotted pitas over there which look suspiciously similar to those at Gyros Taverna Athena) doesn't really have any negative effect on the taste. It's a pity though that the fries aren't home-made anymore as they appeared to be in the beginning and that the portions shrunk a little while the price went up by 5 CZK / 20 cents. It's still an excellent place to grab something quick or even to sit down and have something more elaborate. It's just a tavern, so nothing fancy but still kind of cozy. The tavern now offers food delivery from 10 am till 10 pm under the number I'm adding I'm going to add. There are of course minimum orders and some fees. The range of foods is quite nice and I would only like to correct what the guy said in the previous comment on cheeses....The Czechs unfortunately wrongly refer to Feta cheese as to balkan cheese which of course has a very different taste and consistency. ;-)
