We spent a night at the Palace and were sad to leave.. in fact, the room was SO nice we were reluctant to leave it other than for a couple of short walks around the old town. Huge , comfortable rooms with large flat screen tvs , very comfortable beds, AC etc , all modern and well designed made it the perfect place to unwind after a hard day on the road. Arriving from expensive Austria we were amazed at what you got money wise in Brno....God knows what a room like this would cost in Paris.... The staff are friendly and the young Tunisian receptionist gave us a hand with the t.v which proved to be a bit of a pain..In the end it was sorted out and we were able to enjoy some Olympic coverage..stretched out on the lovely, big bed... My only complaint was the shocking parking fee : nearly $20... an outrage though it included pick up and delivery of the car in the morning by the hotel...
We ate lunch a stones throw away at the Husa restaurant: evidently part of the Staropramen brewery company ... Good grill and salad dishes in an ultra modern setting...Nice selection of Staropramen beers as well as a very nice Belgian wheat beer that blew our minds..The smaller , local brewery Zamecky Pivovar has a place next door with better Czech beer i thought where we stopped by in the afternoon... Both have sidewalk seating and were very popular with locals.
We ate dinner at a place recommended by the desk::Stopkova, about 10 minutes walking from the hotel... Although evidently part of a gastro-chain, it serves good , massive portioned , stick to your ribs style Czech food and beers. The service is attentive and the beer hall atmosphere fun.. The roast goose leg was particularly tasty ( the lamb shank so so). The chocolate torte for desert was decadent and rich..very nice!

Room Tip: Top floor facing away from the main street...

Right in the heart of the city! Palace converted into hotel. Beautiful rooms and great restaurant. Totally unique accomodation and not that expensive as compared to Western Europe. There were tourists coming to see the hotel. Must stay if stopping at Brno.

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend in summer. Its location, i.e. next to a park and in the centre of the city is just perfect. The hotels is a beautiful blend of old and modern. Breakfast was rich and tasty and served in a hall with a parkview. The only minor snag is the lack of parking in the hotel so you have to use the servise of a concierge to park your car in the nearby parking house.

Room Tip: 315 is a very spacious junior suite with wonderful street and Spilberg view

Satisfies to all requirements bathroom, with good separete toilets and bidet. Professional, but helpful, friendly staff with good english. Wide range of delicious food for breakfeast. Our room was 524 on the top floor with openable dormer windows. Great value for money!

The one and only, a perfect location combined with luxurious decor and perfect service.
The rooms are spacious and designed with taste, armchairs are especially lovely. As for the bed, it's really comfortable; also, the guests can choose from a variety of pillow types to provide maximum comfort.
The B-lounge situated on the ground floor is perfect to have a drink or a smoke while lying on a silver leather sofa.
Highly recommended!

Stayed at this hotel for two nights whilst on business in Brno. Central location and only 15 minute cab ride from Brno airport. Rooms are really spacious and the air con is excellent. I had a room on the second floor which was directly above the tram stop outside. The vibration and noise of the trams was a little annoying especially as they started q at 4am. Great choice at breakfast and the hotel bar was very reasonable. Lots of bars and restaurants within 2 minute walk from the hotel. Brno is a nice city and beer at just over £1 a pint it is well worth a weekend visit.

Room Tip: Go for a room on the upper floors or on the other side from the main street. It will be quieter.

We had room 501 on the top floor. The room had dormer windows in the roof with great block out for a good night's sleep. The room was huge and had a good bathroom with a separate toilet. The decor of the hotel was gorgeous. Breakfast was very good and they made eggs to order. The staff were very polite and spoke good English. The location was near good restaurants and the tram stop.
