“Sobering”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Housed in a former boys' school, this museum was the last stop in our group tour of Terezin Concentration Camp. As expected from a group tour, there just is not enough time to read through all of the information, which this museum had. There were plenty of other tour groups there, so some exhibits could be very crowded. Nevertheless, this is worth a stop if you visit Terezin. If you're the type who wants to read everything and take your time, consider coming on your own, versus as part of a tour group.

“Sad pages in Human history.”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

Spent some time in here reading about everything. It's a sad place if you really remove yourself from your posh life and happy travels. Only 60+ years ago! people were being driven out by the millions! stopping here in Terezin to be processed.

Truly an eye opener, and I enjoyed it very much!

“Worth the visit and be ready to be emotional”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

Simply a very truthful collection of records from a very sad chapter in history that took place right in this town. This is just me but the town itself feels like silent hill with all the memorials, empty streets and everything shut in the winter.

“Learnt a great deal”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

The museum was a great place to learn about Terezin and its history. So much information it was difficult to know where to start and definitely left feeling we hadn't done it justice.

“Comprehensive View of the Camp and People”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

You could spend a half day in this museum, if you read every biography and comment. It is a tremendous experience to read about the lives of the people who were sent to Terezin and how they desperately tried to cope with the Nazi horrors. The exhibits are very well done, much of them are in English (thank you!), and the drawings are superb. The reconstructions of the camp and camp theatre are excellent. While I had been to Terezin twice before, this was my first time in the Ghetto Museum and I am so glad to have experienced this.
